User Service Overview: Timesheet

What is "Timesheet" user service?

The "Timesheet" user sevice refers to the Timesheet tab accesed through the left bar in Zoho People. It displays all the necessary timesheet-service related information such as Time Logs, Timesheets, Jobs and Projects. This space is intended for all users and is accessible by all roles (team members, managers and administrators).

How to navigate to user service?
Simply click on the Timesheet icon in the left bar in Zoho People.

What can employees do here?

  1. View and submit Time Logs, Timesheets, Log time using timer.
  2. View associated Jobs and Projects (including viewing Project Dashboard)
  3. View Total, Submitted and Not Submitted hours information.


Team tab
  1. Employees can quickly check their team / project members check-in status, weekly logged duration by navigating to the Team tab. Team associated Jobs and Projects can be viewed too.

What can managers do here?

  1. Managers can do all the above actions and additionally perform more actions from the Team tab this includes:
    1. Check check-in status of Reportees, both for direct reportees and employees who report to their reportees. (select All view witin the Reportees tab).
    2. Add new Projects.
    3. Manage Timesheet requests
    4. Perform Job Scheduling. Learn more about Job Scheduling.

What can administrators do here?

  1. Within the user service, administrator role is similar to the above roles. Similar to managers they can also view reportee data and manage timesheet data.
  2. Administrators can import timesheet related data such as importing Projects.

Administrator role users have access to Timesheet Settings, and Operations (Administrators can view, create, approve, cancel, delete timesheet requests of all employees from Operations)
