The
Dropbox extension for Zoho Projects helps you access files managed in your Dropbox account and associate them with the respective tasks of a project, all from within your Zoho Projects. You can also easily disassociate a file whenever it's no longer needed. The administrators can even manage the folders in Dropbox from within Zoho Projects.
Installing the extension
The administrator can login to Zoho Projects and follow the below steps to install the extension.
- Click
in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band. - Navigate to Marketplace > All.
- Search for and click on Dropbox for Zoho Projects.
- Click Install.
- Agree to the terms of service and click Install.
- Under the General section, select the profiles, projects, and users you want the extension to be shared with or given access to.

- Agree to the terms of use.
- Click Install Extension and proceed authorizing your Zoho and Dropbox account.
- Under the Connections section, click Authorize.
Sign in with your Zoho credentials. - Click Authorize.
Sign in with your Dropbox credentials.

- Under the Permissions section, select a profile.
The selected profile, along with the admin, can manage the folders.
Associating Dropbox files to tasks
One or more files from Dropbox can be associated with a particular task in a project. The members linked to that task can manage the files at ease. They can preview or download the files when needed.
Navigate to your project, then click Tasks from the left panel.
Choose a task and go to the Task information page to associate files.
Click Dropbox in the tasks tab.
Click Associate Files.
The list of files synced from Dropbox will be listed.

Choose the required files and click Associate files.
The files will be associated with the task.

Tap on the file to preview it in Dropbox.
Click
to download a file. Click
to disassociate a file.
You can associate files to a task also as attachments. To do so:
- Click Attachments in the tasks tab.
- Click Attach Files, and tap on Dropbox.

- Choose the required files and click Associate files.

- Tap on the file to preview it.
- Click
to download a file.
- Click
to disassociate a file.
Associating folders from Dropbox
You can associate folders in your Dropbox account with projects in your Zoho Projects account. You can also create new folders in the Dropbox from within the Zoho Projects.
- Navigate to your project and click Dropbox from the left panel.
- Click Add/Associate Folder.

- Under Add folder, enter a folder name.
- Click Add.

- Under Associate folder, select the folders to be associated.
- Click Associate.
The folder along with the files will be associated.

Only the admins and the permitted profiles can manage these associated folders.
Uninstalling the extension
Once you uninstall the extension, the associated files and folders will be deleted from the Zoho Projects. To uninstall the extension:
- Click
in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band. - Navigate to Marketplace > All.
- Click Installed.
- Click Dropbox for Zoho Projects.
- Click Uninstall.
