I need to attach files in my forum post, where will I find it?
In the forum post, you will find the Drop files or add attachments here field, from where you can add files to your forums.
How to disable forum notifications to my clients?
While creating a forum post, you can deselect the Announcement checkbox to disable the email alerts to your client users.
Why don't I receive any notifications when a forum is been posted?
You need to enable the email notifications to get notified when a forum is posted. To do this:
- Click the Setup icon (
) in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Go to User Preferences > Notifications > Email Notification > Other Notifications and turn on the option When a message is posted in a forum.
How to send email alerts to selected users when I post a forum?
To notify specific users when you post a forum, you need to mention the requisite users name in the Send notification about the topic field. Now, your forum post will only be visible to the selected users.
How to send email alerts to all the project users when I post a forum topic?
To send email alerts to all the users in your project, you can select the Make it as an announcement checkbox. By choosing this, all the project users in your portal will receive an email notification, when you post a forum topic.
How to pin my forum post on top?
When creating a forum post, you can select the Make it as a sticky post check box to display your forum post on top.
