Microsoft Outlook Integration

The Zoho Projects extension for Microsoft Outlook allows users to access their tasks and issues directly from Outlook. Users can also control certain task actions using the action cards that are sent as an email.

Configure Integration

  1. Login to Zoho Projects with your Microsoft credentials (this integration can only be configured using the SSO login and the user must be the portal owner in Zoho Projects).
  2. Click  in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band.
  3. Navigate to Marketplace > All Apps and search for Office 365 for Zoho Projects.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Select the Terms & Conditions of Microsoft and Zoho and then click Install.
  6. Under the Import Users tab, click the Click Here link and select projects if you want to add users to the projects.

  7. Click Import Users Now.
  8. Click on the Manage Action Cards tab. Enable this option to receive action cards via email.
  9. The integration is now complete.

Push Action Cards to Outlook Email

Task field updates and comment action cards are sent to Outlook mail. The actions permitted are Change Owner, Mark as Complete, and Add Comment.
  1. Navigate to the task details page.
  2. Update a field or add a comment.
  3. Action card will be sent via email.

Using action cards   

Users will receive actions cards via email. The buttons in the cards can be used to perform actions.
  1. Change Owner: Modify or update the owner of the task.
  2. Mark as Complete: Complete the task.
  3. Add Comment: Add a comment for the task.
Outlook action cards are pushed when user is signed in using the Microsoft credentials (SSO).

Uninstall Microsoft Outlook

  1. Login to Zoho Projects with your Microsoft credentials (this integration can only be configured using the SSO login and the user must be the portal owner in Zoho Projects).
  2. Click  in the upper-right corner of the top navigation band.
  3. Navigate to Marketplace > All Apps and search for Office 365 for Zoho Projects.
  4. Click Uninstall in the upper-right corner of the screen.
