Microsoft Power BI Integration
Microsoft Power BI is an advanced analytical tool that helps analyze trends, stats, and create detailed reports. Integrate Power BI with Zoho Projects to sync your project data, visualize it, create dashboards and reports, and share them with your project stakeholders. Once integrated, Zoho Projects data set will be accessible directly from your Power BI Workspace.

Requirement: Microsoft Fabric License is required
Install Microsoft Power BI
To install,
- Click the
icon in the top navigation bar.
- Navigate to Marketplace > All Apps.
- Click Microsoft Power BI for Zoho Projects > Install.
Authenticate Microsoft Power BI
You must be an admin in your Power BI Workspace to authenticate.
- Click the
icon in the top navigation bar.
- Navigate to Marketplace > Installed Apps.
- Click Microsoft Power BI for Zoho Projects.
- Click Authenticate.
- Enter your account details and click Proceed.
- Once authenticated, you will land on the configuration page in Zoho Projects.
To configure,
- In the Configuration page, select your Power BI Workspace from the Workspace field.
- Click Next.
- Set the Auto-Sync Frequency to sync data at regular intervals (once every 24 hours).
- Select the module and the corresponding fields to sync the data.
- Click Save.

Edit Configuration
To edit the configuration,
- Click the
icon in the top navigation bar. - Navigate to Marketplace > Installed Apps.
- Click Microsoft Power BI for Zoho Projects.
- In the Configuration page, hover over the module name and click the edit icon (
) in the Selected Fields Count column.
Sync Project Data
Even with Auto-Sync enabled, you can manually sync project data with Power BI:
- Click the
icon in the top navigation bar. - Navigate to Marketplace > Installed Apps.
- Click Microsoft Power BI for Zoho Projects.
- On the Configuration page, click Sync Now.
You can manually sync data once until the next auto sync.
Manage Project Data in Power BI
Access synced data from Zoho Projects in your Microsoft Power BI Workspace:
- Open your Power BI Workspace.
- Click the latest synced Zoho Projects dataset.

- Select the data file to use to create a report.

Select the modules and fields to visualize in your reports.

Manage Project Data in Power BI Desktop
- Open your Power BI Desktop.
- Click Get Data from the top band.
- Select Power BI semantic models.
- Use the latest synced Zoho Projects dataset to create reports.
Delete Power BI Integration
- Click the
icon in the top navigation bar. - Navigate to Marketplace > Installed Apps.
- Click Microsoft Power BI for Zoho Projects.
- Click Delete Integration.
Deleting the integration will not remove any synced data in Power BI. Only the configuration will be deleted.
