Issues

Projects can face all sorts of undesirable issues. These could be software not performing as expected, materials not conforming to standards, missing or broken components, and so on. They can result in poor output and delayed deliverables, which in turn can lead to significant increase in project costs and loss of customer goodwill. Zoho Projects provides a comprehensive Issue Tracking tool that helps users track and resolve them. In addition, SLAs can help track the desired outcome and alerts can be triggered to notify about deadlines and status for the project coordinators to take quick and timely actions.

  1. The Overview - Issues section lists down all the issues in a portal. By default, users will view all open issues assigned to them across all the projects. Users can also select other default or custom views using a drop-down. The Group by Project view organize Issues by their respective projects. The List view lists all the issues in a chronological order, while the Kanban view displays issues in the form of cards.
    1. To access the Overview - Issues section, navigate to the Overview section and click Issues.

    1. To access the Issues module, select a project either from the Recent Projects section or the Projects tab in the left navigation panel, then click the Issues tab in the top band.

Use case

Construction: While quality checking the pipe fittings, there appears to be leakage in a pipe. This can be tracked as an issue in the project to ensure that this is addressed.
 
Marketing: When cross-verifying a design of a flyer, there are spelling and casing changes to be made in the content. This can be noted down as an issue. Content team can check the issue and have it fixed.
 
Software development: Quality Analyst team checks the feature developed and tracks down all the issues to be addressed by the developer. These issues can be tracked in the Issues section of a project.
