WhatsApp Notifications for Time Logs

WhatsApp notifications let you send real-time time log updates to customers and team members via WhatsApp Business. Using approved message templates, notifications are triggered automatically through workflow rules.

Ensure the WhatsApp number is set as the primary mobile number in Zoho Accounts and is verified on the Personal Details page in settings. If not configured, notifications will be sent to the user's email address associated with Zoho Accounts. For more details, refer here.

Create a WhatsApp Notification

WhatsApp notifications can be created directly or while configuring a workflow rule.
  1. Navigate to Setup () > Automation > WhatsApp Notifications.
  2. Select the Time Logs module.
  3. Click Create Notification.
  4. Enter the notification name.
  5. Select the layout and an approved template.
  6. Choose recipients and click Add.

Associate a WhatsApp Notification with a Workflow Rule

  1. Navigate to Setup () > Automation > Workflow Rules.
  2. Select the Time Logs module.
  3. Create or edit a workflow rule.
  4. Click Add Action > Associate WhatsApp Notification.
  5. Select the notification and click Associate.
    1. To create a new WhatsApp Notification at this step, click Create Notification.
  6. Click Save.
