Personal Preferences in Zoho Projects - Concept
The Personal Preferences section allow users to customize the portal's theme, dark/light mode, font family, font size and the landing page. Users can also manage portal-level notifications for all/specific projects and set reminders for the portal activities. You can configure the feed to receive updates about specific projects. This ensures that you are in the loop for any changes or progress updates. You can enable module notifications and set the frequency as 12 hours, so that you will receive project updates in that interval.
Use case
Software development/ IT: You are the project manager of a software development project. To customize your workflow, you decide to configure your Zoho Projects portal. To optimize the look and feel of the portal, you can enable the dark mode. To stay updated, you can set Feed as your landing page.
Construction: As a sales manager in a construction company, you would like to find out your appointments for the day when you access your Zoho Projects portal. You can set the Calendar module as the landing page so you can land on this page every time you log in.
Manufacturing: If the proprietor of a manufacturing company would like to stay updated about his products updates, then they can set the landing page to be Feed. They can also use the Font Size option to set the font according to their preferences.
Feed Notifications
Users can select specific projects for which they would like to receive notifications. This allows the user to view a more focused and personalized feed.
Personal email
These settings helps in extensive management of task, milestone, forum, and other notifications. You can receive updates for tasks or milestones that you have created, those that have been assigned to you or your team, and those you follow for tracking progress.
Activity reminder
Users can set frequency and time for reminders about the Unassigned Tasks, your overdue items and overdue items of your team. You can also receive a summarized daily digest of the pending tasks, issues, and milestones assigned to you across all the projects.
