Tags help to reference modules in search and filters. Enable tags and associate them with projects, milestones, task lists, tasks, issues, forums and status.
Click
in the upper-right corner.
Click Portal Configuration > Project and Budget tab.
Navigate to Project Settings and toggle Enable Tags.

Tags is enabled by default. You can view the existing tags in filters, reports and custom views to find the relevant modules.
Create a Tag
- Create any module (project, milestone, task list, task, issue, or a status (ensure that you have selected a project when adding a status)).
- Navigate to Tags in the add form.
- Enter the tag name and press the Enter or Return key .
- Add or submit the module.
Associate a Tag
While creating or editing a module
- Open the module's details page.
- Navigate to Tags.
- Enter the tag you want to associate.
- Press the Enter or Return key.
While viewing a module (list screen):
- Open the required module.
- Navigate to Tags column.
- Enter the tag you want to associate.
- Select the tag if it already exists.
- Press the Enter or Return key and click Save.
Users can view all the tags used in a project from its dashboard.
- Navigate to a project.
- Click on the Dashboard tab in the top navigation band.
- Click Widgets tab in the Dashboard.
- The Tags widget displays all the tags used in the project.

- Navigate to the Projects tab in the left navigation panel.
- Hover over specific project and scroll horizontally to the Tags column.
Click on the cell and enter a tag.
Select from the existing list or click enter to create a tag in the list view.
Click the tag to view all the associated entities.
If you want to view more details, click
next to the project name to navigate to details page. Click Tags in the Project Information section.
- Navigate to the Tasks tab in the left navigation panel.
- Hover over specific task and scroll horizontally to the Tags column.
- Click on the cell and enter a tag.
- Select from the existing list or click enter to create a tag in the list view.
- Click the tag to view all the associated entities.
- If you want to view more details, click
next to the task name to navigate to details page.
- Click Tags in the Task Information section.
- Navigate to Milestones tab in the left navigation panel.
- Click on the specific Milestone and click Task Lists tab.
- Scroll to the Tags column, click on the cell and enter a tag.
- Select from the existing list or click enter to create a tag in the list view.
- Click the tag to view all the associated entities.
- Alternatively, open the Task List and click
located below the Task List Title.
- Navigate to the Issues tab in the left navigation panel.
- Hover over the specific Issue, scroll to the Tags column.
- Click on the cell and enter a tag.
- Select from the existing list or click enter to create a tag in the list view.
- Click the tag to view all the associated entities.
- If you want to view more details, click
next to the Issue name to navigate to details page.
- Click Tags in the Task Information section.
Manage Tags from the Feed
- Navigate to Feed tab in the left navigation panel, click Status.
- Navigate to specific status, click
and then click edit.
- Enter a tag name and click Submit.
Remove a Tag
While editing a module:
- Open the module's details page.
- Navigate to Tags.
- Click
to dissociate the tag
While viewing a module (list view):
- Open the required module.
- Navigate to Tags column.
- Click
beside the tag. - Select the Remove option.
- Click Save.
By removing a tag, you are only removing it from a specific module. The tag will not be deleted permanently.Edit a Tag
- Open the module's details page.
- Navigate to Tags.
- Click on a tag (while editing a module or from a list view). It will take you to the search page.
- Click
on the tag's name in the top band. - Select the Edit option and make the required changes.
- Click Save.
Delete a Tag
- Open the module's details page.
- Navigate to Tags.
- Click on a tag (while editing a module or from a list view). It will take you to the search page.
- Click
on the tag's name in the top band. - Select the Delete option.
- Confirm your action.
