User Settings

In Zoho Projects,  users can set a name format, create a hierarchy based on roles, and assign reporting managers to specific users to facilitate access.
Availability: Latest Enterprise plan, Zoho One, and CRM Plus.

Benefits

  1. Approve Timesheets based on reporting hierarchy.
  2. View a user's reporting details.

User Display Name Format

  1. Click  on the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click Portal Configuration > Configuration and select User Settings tab.
  3. Select a format from the drop-down.
  4. Click Update.

Enable User Hierarchy

  1. Click  on the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click Portal Configuration > Configuration and select User Settings tab.
  3. Toggle the Enable User Hierarchy setting.

Configure User Hierarchy

  1. Click    on the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click Portal Configuration > Configuration and select User Settings tab.
  3. Toggle the Enable User Hierarchy setting.
  4. Click Import CSV.
  5. Select a file to upload and click Continue.

View User Hierarchy

  1. Click    in the top navigation band.
  2. Navigate to Manage Users and then click Portal Users.
  3. Select Tree view in the upper right corner.


  1. Enable user hierarchy to access the grid and the tree user view.
  2. Users not mentioned in the CSV will be mapped directly under the portal owner.
