AI Hub in Zoho Projects helps users optimize processes like generate insights, translate, summarize, create tasks and more, using AI capabilities. Enable the features to execute the actions. These can also be enabled from the page where AI features can be accessed. It also provides AI Bridge, which allows users to enable and use multiple AI tools within Zoho Projects.
The AI Powered Capabilities include Zia Search, AI Powered Insights, AI Translate, AI Summary, AI Powered Content, and AI Powered Task. The AI Bridge include Zia, ChatGPT, Gemini, Anthropic, and Cohere. These LLMs can be accessed from multiple locations to carry out different actions within Zoho projects.

Client users & Read-only users will not have access to view or use AI functionalities within Zoho Projects.
AI Powered Capabilities
Zia Search
Zia Search enables users to search across portal using conversational language. This eliminates the need for complex syntax. Users can ask questions in the natural language format and get relevant information.
Enable Zia Search
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub.
- Go to AI Powered Capabilities tab.
- Enable Zia Search toggle.
Access Zia Search
- Click the search icon on the top navigation band.
- Toggle the Zia option on.
- Enter your query. Press Enter or Return key to view results.
Zia Insights
Zia Insights sifts through module data and generates valuable information that can be used to track and improve the efficiency of a project. Users can view Zia insights for tasks, issues and projects from Reports page. They can also view the insights for task list and phases from their respective details page. Managers can examine priority tasks in a task list, task count, status, completion percentage, and more using Zia insights.
Enable Zia Insights
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub.
- Go to AI Powered Capabilities tab.
- Enable Zia Insights toggle.
Access Zia Insights
Zia Insights can be accessed from the Phase or task list details page.
- Access a Phase or a Task List detail.
- Click Zia on the top right corner. It will display insights related to the phase or task list.
AI Translate
Translate text from over 70 languages using all the available AI tools. Choose from AI tools: Zia, ChatGPT, Gemini, Anthropic and Cohere to translate descriptions, comments, Project, Phase, Task and other module names. Teams working from across the globe and consisting of members, stakeholders, and clients from different countries speaking different languages can use AI translate to translate project requirements into their preferred languages.
Enable AI Translate
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub.
- Go to AI Powered Capabilities tab.
- Enable AI Translate toggle.
Access AI Translate
- Navigate to the respective description, comment, or module name.
- Click the Translate button below the comment or click on the translate icon(
) next to the description or module name.
- Select the Translate language.
- Choose the AI Engines from among available options in the drop-down to view the translation.
AI translate will auto-detect the input language. Users can copy the translation language and also like the translation using the icons.
AI Summary
Summarize descriptions and comments of required modules using Al Summary. Work items or modules with lengthy descriptions, updates, and comments can take time to read manually and analyze. AI summary provides a concise and clear overview for these descriptions and associated comments. Especially for new team members or stakeholders joining the project at a later stage, AI-powered summary enables quick understanding on what has been completed, is in progress, key decisions, and any pending actions.
Enable AI Summary
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub.
- Go to AI Powered Capabilities tab.
- Enable AI Summary toggle.
Access AI Summary
- Navigate to the respective module's Description, or Comment.
- Click the Show Summary button.
- Choose the AI Engines from among available options in the drop-down to view the summary.
AI Powered Content
Generate content within Zoho Projects using AI. This includes generating descriptions, writing a summary, rephrasing content, creating action items, action plan and event plan. Users can generate detailed module descriptions, concise summaries of project updates, and well-defined action items based on existing inputs or discussions in comments.
Enable AI Powered Content
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub.
- Go to AI Powered Capabilities tab.
- Enable AI Powered Content toggle.
Access AI Powered Content
- Navigate to the respective module's Description, or Comment.
- Click the Generate content AI button.
- Choose the AI Engines from among available options in the drop-down. Enable the AI Engine if not enabled.
- Select the AI action, such as Write description, and Plan an event, from the options.
- Click Generate.
AI Powered Task
Create tasks and subtasks using AI within Zoho Projects. Provide clear description and accurate Task list name to enable AI to break down processes and create appropriate tasks and subtasks. A project manager can use AI-powered task creation to create tasks for a website launch task list instead of manually breaking down the tasks. With a description like“Plan and launch a responsive e-commerce website with payment integration and user authentication" they can trigger AI to generate tasks. The AI engine analyzes the requirement and generates a list of tasks and subtasks. After scanning through the generated tasks options, the manager can select the relevant ones and add them as tasks.
Enable AI Powered Task
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub.
- Go to AI Powered Capabilities tab.
- Enable AI Powered Task toggle.
Access AI Powered Task
- Navigate to the specific task list or task.
- Click AI Suggestion for Tasks/ subtasks.
- Write/ edit the description for generating tasks
- Choose the AI Engines from among available options in the drop-down. Enable the AI Engine if not enabled.
Type $ or use the + icon below to insert variables. - Click Generate.
Users require Add task permission to execute AI Powered task creation feature.
Users can create a maximum of 50 tasks and sub tasks at once using AI.
AI Bridge
AI Bridge tab is for enabling or disabling AI engines at the portal level. Admins can enable multiple AI engines to make AI-powered services available across the portal. When enabled, AI features such as content generation, task and subtask creation, text summarization, and translation can be executed. Enable the AI engine's toggle and enter their respective API key to configure them to Zoho Projects AI Hub.
- Navigate to Setup > Portal Configuration > AI Hub > AI Bridge.
- Enable the AI engine toggle that you wish to bridge with Zoho Projects.
- Enter the AI engine's API key.
- To generate API key for the AI engine, click on the link below the API key field.
- Enter Email Id and password to log in, or sign up to generate the API key in the respective AI engine.
- Copy the API key and paste it in the API key field in AI bridge tab.
- Click Save.
The enabled AI option will show up for AI functionalities across Zoho Projects.
