Tasks

The Tasks section displays a comprehensive list of tasks within a project. By default, the section shows users all open tasks in the List view. Users have the option to switch between different views—either default or custom—through a drop-down menu.

They can also organize tasks by grouping them by milestones or task lists. For ease of tracking, the List and Gantt views arrange tasks in chronological order, whereas the Kanban view presents them as cards. Users can add, edit, manage, assign, reorder, and export tasks within all views, respectively.

Use cases

Software development/ IT: Once a feature is rolled out in the market, it is necessary to send release notes to the users. This can be added as a task under the respective project in Zoho Projects.

Construction: A site engineer needs to acquire necessary goods by co-ordinating with goods suppliers. This activity can be added as a task in a project.

Event planner: In a birthday party, the event planner should arrange for a birthday cake along with candles. This can be added as a task to ensure that this isn't missed out.
