Customers Details Page

Customers Details Page

A Customer in Zoho Projects is a client company. It includes organisation level details of the client and lists the client users and contacts associated to the company. Customer is different from client user as client user records user level details and can be added to a customer, whereas customer acts as a parent entity with client users mapped under it. Multiple client users and contacts can be added to a customer. The information in customer details page is categorised into:
Overview: Shows Client users associated to the customer. Shows the added contacts to the customer.
Fields: Contains all the default fields details of the customer.
Associated Projects: Lists all the associated projects of the Customer.
Zoho Books info and Zoho CRM also show up in the tabs when integrated.

Contact

Projects have multiple users working on multiple work items. Some users are directly involved in a project where as some users don't engage in day-to-day activities of a project. Zoho Projects classifies such users into Contacts. Client users have limited access to project data but Contacts are users who do not have any access to project data. Zoho Project stores their details for easy access.
Event Management: Event planners would like to keep their project management data exclusive, and it is not necessary for the client to look into certain specs. These clients can be added as contacts in the project for easy access in case the organizer would like to reach out to them for any purpose.

Construction: In a building site, information about the owner of the property can be added as a contact in case any documents or any other info related to the property is needed at the time of construction activity.

Website development: A start-up company has contacted a web developer to build a website for their business. All that has to be shared with the client is the final product by the web developer. In those circumstances, they can be added to the project as a contact.
