Portal Users Details Page

A user invited to join a portal or project to carry out the work items in a project or across projects is a portal user. While inviting them, specific details are added to their profile which define their Role, Rate per hour, Reporting manager and more. These details are recorded and listed on Portal User Details Page.

Portal User Details Page View

The page has Full screen and Panel view. Personal, Finance, and Timeline information of the user can be viewed on the left side in Full screen view. In Panel view, it is placed just below the user's name
The portal user details page is sectioned into: Overview, Fields, Associated Projects, Activity Stream and Audit Log tabs. These tabs display categorised user information which can be viewed and updated by admins, manager or users with authorised permission.


Overview: Includes all details of the user related to Task, Issue, Phases, Associated Teams, Planned vs Actual Hours & Cost, Reporting To, Direct Reports, and Skills (requires Zoho People integration). 
  1. Planned vs Actual hours: Calculated based on the work hours allocated for the task assigned to the user. The actual hours spent is calculated based on the user's time logs, and timers. 
  2. Rate Per Hour and Cost Per Hour: The user's billing rate and cost implications.
  3. Task, Issue, and Phases Summary: Graphical representation of a user's overall status in tasks and issues. 
  4. Direct Reports: All the users reporting to you. 
  5. Reporting To: The user who you are reporting to. 
  6. Associated Teams: View all the team that you are associated with under this section.
  7. Skill Sets: With Zoho People integration users can view employee skill sets.
  8. Fields: This tab shows all default and custom user fields.
Associated Projects: The projects that the user is associated to is reflected on this tab of the details page.
Activity Stream: The User activity is shown here. All actions taken by the user within all associated projects or specific project. The projects can be selected from the Select Project drop-down.
Audit Log: This tab shows all the actions performed on the user by admin or manager. For example when a user role is updated, or rate per hour is revised by their manager, it reflects on this tab with the updated details.

Access Portal User Details from List View   

  1. Navigate to Users in the left navigation panel and go to Portal Users tab.
  2. Hover over the user and click  or click  and select View Details.

Access Portal User Details from Grid View   

  1. Navigate to Users > Portal Users.
  2. Click on the specific user grid or hover over the user, click  and select View Details.  

Edit Portal User from Details Page

  1. Navigate to Users > Portal users.
  2. Hover over a user and click .
  3. On the Details Page, go to Fields tab and click on respective fields to edit them. The Associated Projects tab can also be edited with authorised user permissions.
  4. Click Update.

Re-invite Portal User from Details Page

  1. Navigate to Users > Portal users.
  2. Hover over a user and click .
  3. On the Details Page, click  on top right and select Re-invite. The re-invitation mail will be sent to the user. 

Deactivate Portal User from Details Page

  1. Navigate to Users > Portal Users.
  2. Hover over a user and click .
  3. On the Details Page, click on the  on the top right.
  4. Select the Deactivate option.
  5. Select the checkbox to notify the user and click Deactivate.

Delete Portal User from Details Page

  1. Navigate to Users > Portal Users.
  2. Hover over a user and Click .
  3. On the details page, click  and select Delete.
  4. Confirm your action and click Delete.
