Gantt Chart
A Gantt chart is a visual representation of the project schedule. It displays information about task progress, the task owner, the task status, and other task-related data.
Access Gantt Chart
- Tap the hamburger icon at the top-left corner.
- Select Projects.
- Open a Project.
- Click Gantt Chart.
Side Bar
The Gantt chart displays Milestones, Task Lists, and Tasks based on their hierarchy within the project.
Click
to add a new task within a Task List, provide the necessary information for the task, and click Save.
Click the
icon on the left side of the Gantt Chart to expand and view the work items within the Project.
Click the Milestone
drop-down to view the associated Task List, and click the Task List drop-down to view the Tasks contained within.
Close the sidebar by clicking the icon to have a full view of the Gantt chart.
Chart View
In the Gantt chart, milestones are typically represented as red rhombuses, task lists as black horizontal bars, and tasks as horizontal bars in various colours.
The Gantt chart displays the assignee and title of tasks by default. Click on the user
icon to change or add new users as assignees. Click
OK to save.
The Gantt chart provides visual cues for task completion. You can see the progress of tasks and milestones within the chart.
Tap on a specific task in the Gantt chart to view more detailed task information.
Tap on a task and manage your task dependency in the Dependency section. Click the
or
sign beside the
Dependency section to establish task dependencies. Click
Dependency Type to edit the dependency type. Tap
Lag to edit the lag time between tasks.
Critical Path
The Critical Path represents the longest sequence of dependent tasks in a project that cannot be delayed without delaying the overall project.
- Navigate to the Gantt Chart.
- Click the ellipsis icon at the top-right corner to add the Critical Path to a task.
Critical Path feature is available only for Enterprise edition users.
Other actions
Add new tasks: Click
to add a new task directly within the Gantt chart, provide the necessary task information, and click
.
Filter: Click the filter icon
to apply filters based on task status, owner, time, priority, milestones, and task lists.
