Configure Schedules
Qntrl allows users to trigger custom functions periodically or at defined time intervals using Schedules. It can be used to obtain automated updates, weekly notifications, or monthly reports in an organization.

New Schedule
Schedules can be configured for three different frequencies: Hourly, Weekly, Daily, and Monthly.
Hourly Schedules
Qntrl lets users trigger specific custom functions every hour using Schedules.

Navigate to
and select Schedules under Automation .

Click the
New Schedule
button.

Fill in the details:
-
Name: Enter a relevant name for the schedule.
-
Frequency: Select the frequency as Hourly.
- Execute: Mention the frequency (hours) in which the schedule has to be executed.
-
Start Date and Time: Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
-
Expiry: Specify the condition after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set execution limit: Set the number of executions after which the schedule will expire.
-
Set expiry date: Select the date after which the schedule will expire.
-
Never: Allow the schedule to run endlessly.
-
Custom Function: Select the custom function to be executed.

Click
Save.
Daily Schedules
Qntrl lets users trigger specific custom functions every day using Schedules.

Navigate to
and select Schedules under Automation.

Click the
New Schedule
button.

Fill in the details:

Name: Enter a relevant name for the schedule.
-
Frequency: Select the frequency as
Daily.
-
Exclude Days Off: Check this box to exclude the schedule on non-working days of your organization. You can configure the Days off for your organization under
Date and Time Settings of Organization Setup.

Start Date and Time: Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
-
Expiry: Specify the condition after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set execution limit: Set the number of executions after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set expiry date: Select the date after which the schedule must expire.
-
Never: Allow the schedule to run infinitely.
-
Custom Function: Select the custom function to be executed.

Click
Save.
Weekly Schedules
Qntrl lets users trigger specific custom functions every week using Schedules.

Navigate to

Click the
New Schedule
button.

Fill in the details:

Name: Enter a relevant name for the schedule.

Frequency: Select the frequency as
Weekly.

Execute On: Select specific days to execute the schedule.
-
Start Date and Time: Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.

Expiry: Select the condition after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set execution limit: Set the number of executions after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set expiry date: Select the date after which the schedule must expire.
-
Never: Allow the schedule to run infinitely.

Custom Function: Select the custom function to be executed.

Click
Save.
Monthly Schedules
Qntrl lets users trigger specific custom functions every month using Schedules.

Navigate to

Click the
New Schedule
button.

Fill in the details:

Name: Enter a relevant name for the schedule.

Frequency: Select the frequency as
Monthly.
-
Execute On
-
Set expiry date: Mention a date of the month to execute this schedule. Enter a value between 1 and 31.
-
Set specific day: Mention a specific day of the month to execute this schedule.
-
Start Date and Time: Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
-
Expiry: Select the condition after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set execution limit: Set the number of executions after which the schedule must expire.
-
Set expiry date: Select the date after which the schedule must expire.
- Never: Allow the schedule to run endlessly.
-
Custom Function: Select the custom function to be executed.
- Click Save.
Ensure the expiry date is after the start date. Else, the schedule will be marked complete.
Yearly Schedule
Qntrl lets users trigger specific custom functions every year using Schedules.
- Navigate to
- Click the New Schedule button.
- Fill in the details:
- Name: Enter a relevant name for the schedule.
- Frequency: Select the frequency as Yearly.
- Start Date and Time: Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
- Expiry: Specify the condition after which the schedule must expire.
- Set execution limit: Set the number of executions after which the schedule will expire.
- Set expiry date: Select the date after which the schedule will expire.
- Never: Allow the schedule to run endlessly.
- Custom Function: Select the custom function to be executed.
- Click Save.
Pause/ Resume Schedule
Qntrl allows users to pause the schedules temporarily. Once a schedule is paused the execution of the custom function is halted. However, the schedule can be resumed anytime later.

Navigate to

Toggle the ON/OFF button at the far end of the schedule to pause it.

To resume the schedule, toggle the button ON.
Delete Schedule
Schedules can be deleted if they are no longer required.

Navigate to

Hover over a schedule name.
-
Click
and select Delete.
- Confirm your action.
