Overview of Cards

Cards are created to request available solutions in an organization. To request a solution, users fill out forms in orchestration, capturing the details of the solution. The card is then assigned to individual users, generally to be performed within a defined period.

Say you need to book accommodation for an employee during their head office visit, you can create a card requesting the related solution. Based on the card parameters, a corresponding blueprint in the orchestration will be mapped.

Access privileges:  Users with Create Cards permission in the Orchestration will be able to create cards in the corresponding orchestration.

Card Views

Cards in Qntrl are displayed using two different views: List and Kanban.

List View

This is the conventional view, where all the cards are listed in chronological order, by default.

  1. To navigate to list view, click  icon in the Cards  tab.
  2. You can customize the columns that are displayed in the list view, as well as modify the order of the columns in ascending or descending sequences

Kanban View

Kanban view displays the active cards available in the stages of specific forms.

Kanban view is available only for orchestration shortcut tabs.
  1. Navigate to an orchestration shortcut   and click  icon.
  2. Choose a Form in the top-left corner of the left panel.
  3. The stages configured in the form's blueprint will be listed in the left panel.
  4. Click on each stage to view the cards active in them.

How to progress cards using kanban view

  1. Click and drag a card in the kanban panel.
    1. The stages to which the selected card can be moved are highlighted.
    2. The other stages are blurred out.
  2. Drop the card in the desired stage.
  3. Confirm your action.
When a form is selected, the stages of all the associated blueprints in the orchestration are listed in the kanban view.

How to reorder stages in kanban view

By default, the Kanban columns are displayed in alphabetical order of the blueprint stages. However, this order can be interchanged.
  1. Hover over the stage name in the kanban column.
  2. Click and drag the column to the desired location.
Reordering stages in the kanban panel does not reorder the stages in the respective blueprint.

Create card

  1. Navigate to the  Cards  tab and click the  New Card  button.
  2. Select the  Form  under which you want to create the card.
  3. Enter the card details and click  Save
  4. If you’re not ready to create the card yet, you can save the entered details as a draft by clicking Save as Draft.

  • Cards can be assigned only to individual users.
  • It is not mandatory to assign a card to a user during card creation. Users can be assigned at later stages of the card.
  • Cards will be mapped to blueprints with matching or no criteria.
  • Visibility of the draft is restricted to each user.
  • Card drafts cannot be accessed if:
    • The form associated with the card is deleted or deactivated.
    • User permissions to add cards using the associated form is withdrawn.
