An employer who agrees not to discriminate against an employee or a job applicant because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, physical or mental disability or age is an equal opportunity employer. Organizations that promote EEO attract more diverse workers, improve worker productivity and promote a healthy and happy workplace culture.
To enable EEO compliance
- Navigate to Setup > Compliance > EEO Compliance, then turn on the toggle button.
- Upon agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, EEO compliance will be enabled.
Important: Once EEO is enabled, if a Job opening’s last activity time is less than a year, then the user cannot delete related records in Job Opening, Associated Candidates, Clients, Contacts, Interviews, and To-Dos modules for one year.
You can find the EEO questions that will be presented to the candidates in the EEO setup page. These questions are not editable. You can also find the editable compliance disclaimer and the email templates that will be sent to the candidates.

To learn how to create a candidate assessment, click here.
You have the option to
Unqualify
or
Unassociate
the candidate based on the qualifier question. It works on the weights defined by you for each question type. Based on which candidates will either be Unqualified or Unassociated to the job opening.
Request EEO surveys for candidates
Upon enabling the EEO compliance, candidates who are new to your Career Site will be presented with the EEO survey when they apply for a job.
Candidates who already exist in you Zoho Recruit database can be requested to take up the EEO survey via email. Customizable email templates can be found in the EEO setup page.

or

to each candidate.

You have the option to export the report as a CSV, Excel or PDF file. You can also send it as an attachment via email.
Zoho Recruit complies with EEO laws and provides recruiters with the option to list a reason for the rejection of a candidate. If the status of a candidate who is associated with a job opening is changed to either of the following,
- Unqualified
- Junk candidate
- Rejected by client
- Rejected by Hiring Manager
- Rejected-Hirable
- Rejected-for-Interview
- Offer-Declined
- Offer-Withdrawn
- Auto-Disqualified
- Rejected
You will be asked to provide a reason for rejection. Example: Didn't clear assessments. Under EEO laws, you cannot reject a candidate simply because they are Jewish or Christian, African or Caucasian, or because they are pregnant. Similarly, you cannot advertise jobs asking for candidates of a certain age, and you cannot promote men over women - you can only base this decision on each person’s proven capabilities, performance and other objective criteria, rather than biases against protected groups.
