Note Type
Notes can be a useful way to keep track of important details and help you stay organized as you manage your recruitment efforts.
In Zoho Recruit, notes can be used to keep track of important information related to a specific candidate, job opening, client contact, etc.
For example, you might use notes to record details of a conversation you had with a candidate, remarks about their qualifications or experience, or a client's specific hiring needs or preferences.
What are Note Types?
To make your notes easy to identify and access, Zoho Recruit makes use of Note Types. A "note type" refers to the category or type of note that you are creating. This will be used as the Title of the note (Eg: Call, Meeting, etc.). You can use these note types to organize your notes and to make it easier to find specific information when you need it.
Note: By default, Admin and Standard users have permission to create and edit a note type. But only admins have the permission to delete a note type.
Managing Note Types
Zoho Recruit offers a variety of note types to help you keep track of important information and communication related to your recruitment efforts. You can view all of their note types in a single, centralized location from the Setup page.
To add a note type
- Go to Setup > Customization > Note Type.
- In the List of Note Types page, click Add. This opens the Add Note Type pop-up.
- Enter the note type label in the text box and click Save.
- The new note type's details are displayed in the List of Note Types page.
To add note types in bulk
- Click Setup > Customization > Note Type.
- In the List of Note Types page, click Add.
- Enter each note type label in a separate line and click Save.
- Each entry is then added as a separate note type.
To edit a note type
- Click Setup > Customization > Note Type.
- In the List of Note Types page, click Edit. This opens the Edit Note Type pop-up.
- Modify the label and click Save when you're done.
To delete a note type
- Click Setup > Customization > Note Type.
- In the List of Note Types page, click Delete.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click OK.
