When submitting feedback using Zoho Recruit's built-in customer support system, you can use the Video Recording option to record your screen using Quartz. This will help you demonstrate the issue you're facing, and send it to our customer support team. Furthermore, our customer support personnel will be able to understand the issue better and provide a solution swiftly and efficiently.
Availability
This function is available for all editions and pricing plans of Zoho Recruit.
How do I record my screen in Zoho Recruit?
- Log in to your Zoho Recruit account.
- Click the profile icon in the top-right corner of the page and click Write to us.
- Select the Video Recording sub-tab. Optionally, if you have an existing ticket with our support team, you can enter the Ticket ID to give better context for your query or issue.
- Upon clicking the Record Screen button, you will be redirected to a new tab.
- Provide consent using the checkbox and click Start Recording.
- Choose the screen you wish to record (a specific tab, window, or your entire screen) and click Share. This will allow Zoho Recruit to access and record the selected tab, window, or screen.
- To stop the recording, click the Stop Sharing button at the top of the page. The recording will be processed and can be viewed, edited, or deleted from the tab you opened earlier.
Working with the Quartz Editor
Once you're finished recording your screen, you can edit it using the various tools offered by Quartz. Follow each section below to better understand Quartz's editing interface and its functions.
Editing Basics
At the bottom of your screen, you will see the video timeline along with a bunch of other icons and options. This section will help you understand what each icon and option does.
- Undo, Redo, and Delete
- Current Timestamp
- Navigation Preview
- Pause, Rewind, and Forward
- Mute and Full screen
- Add Voice-over
- Trim Video
- Element Duration (Mask, Highlight, Text & Arrow)
If you wish to edit the recording, click the Edit Video button below the thumbnail. Quartz offers the following tools as part of its editing interface.
This tool lets you mask a part of your video for the specified frames. To add a mask to your video;
- Navigate to the frame in which you wish to add a mask and select what type of mask you wish to use (Block or Blur) from the left.
- Create a mask and specify what frames it should appear for from the video timeline.
- Click Save.
If you wish to remove the mask, select the element and click the Delete icon.
This tool lets you add highlights to you video for the specified frames. To add highlights to your video;
- Navigate to the frame in which you wish to add a highlight and select what type of highlight you wish to use (Rectangle or Ellipse) from the left.
- Add a highlight and specify what frames it should appear for from the video timeline.
- You can change the colour, border style (solid or dashed), and the line width of the highlight using the Properties section on the right.
- Click Save.
If you wish to remove the highlight, select the element and click the Delete icon.
Text
This tool lets you add text to you video for the specified frames. To add text to your video;
- Navigate to the frame in which you wish to add text and select the Text option on the left.
- When you click on the video, a Sample Text element will appear. Edit the text to suit your needs and specify what frames it should appear for from the video timeline.
- You can change the colour, text format (bold, italic, etc.) and the font size using the Properties section on the right.
- Click Save.
If you wish to remove the text, select it and click the Delete icon.
Arrow
This tool lets you add arrows to you video for the specified frames. To add an arrow to your video;
- Navigate to the frame in which you wish to add an arrow and select the Arrow option on the left.
- Click and drag in the direction of the arrow and specify what frames it should appear for from the video timeline.
- You can change the color and the line width of the arrow using the Properties section on the right.
- Click Save.
If you wish to remove the arrow, select it and click the Delete icon.
Preview Recording
In Quartz, hover over the thumbnail of your recording and click the Preview Video button. This will let you view your recording before you share it with our support team.
Submit Video Recording
- Now that you've edited you screen recording, click the Preview Video button to view the video before sharing it.
You can also click Record Again to trash the current recording and start over. - Once you're done, fill in the subject of your query and add a description. Additionally, you can add attachments if you wish to provide context to your query.
- When you're done, click Submit to send the recording to our customer support team.
