LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect Plus (RSC+) keeps Zoho Recruit and LinkedIn Recruiter in sync. Once you activate it, your jobs, candidates, applications, notes, resumes, and interview feedback are automatically shared with LinkedIn. LinkedIn, in turn, sends back exported candidate profiles, message history, AI evaluations, and more.
TL;DR
- Syncs from Recruit to LinkedIn happen within 15 minutes, not instantly
- You can export up to 300 candidate profiles per LinkedIn Recruiter seat per month
- LinkedIn evaluation records pulled into Recruit are read-only and cannot be edited or deleted
- The job visibility setting cannot be changed after activation without re-running setup
- Each LinkedIn seatholder and each Recruit user can only be paired with one counterpart
- Sync activity logs are kept for 6 months and then removed automatically
- RSC+ requires LinkedIn Hiring Assistant and is not available for LinkedIn Recruiter Lite users
- The LinkedIn profile widget does not work on Safari. Please try using Chrome or Firefox
Understanding the Difference: RSC vs RSC+
RSC and RSC+ are two versions of the same integration. RSC is the standard version. RSC+ is the upgraded version, available to organizations that have enabled LinkedIn Hiring Assistant.
Feature
| RSC | RSC+ |
In-ATS indicator on LinkedIn profiles | Yes | Yes |
1-click export to Zoho Recruit | Yes | Yes |
LinkedIn profile widget in Recruit | Yes | Yes |
InMail history in Recruit | Yes | Yes |
Bidirectional sync (jobs, candidates, applications, notes, stages, feedback) | Yes | Yes |
Purged candidate notifications | Yes | Yes |
Connected hiring projects | No | Yes |
Application evaluation from LinkedIn Hiring Assistant | No | Yes |
Filter candidates in Recruit by LinkedIn Hiring Assistant evaluation | No | Yes |
To use RSC+, your organization needs a LinkedIn Recruiter Corporate seat, an RSC contract with LinkedIn, and LinkedIn Hiring Assistant. If you already have RSC active and add LinkedIn Hiring Assistant later, RSC+ features turn on automatically with no extra setup needed.
How the sync works
RSC+ keeps data in sync through three processes running at the same time.
First sync (runs once, when you activate)
When you finish the setup wizard and click Begin Sync, Recruit sends all your existing data to LinkedIn. This covers 10 types of records, sent in this order:
- Job openings
- Hiring pipeline stages
- Candidates
- Candidate notes
- Applications
- Application stages
- Application notes
- Application resumes
- Candidate resumes
- Interview feedback
You can watch the progress live during setup. When it finishes, you will receive a Sync Completion email to your inbox from Recruit showing how many records were synced successfully and how many failed. The email includes a direct link to the RSC Reports tab where you can investigate any failures.
Ongoing sync (runs every 15 minutes)
After the first sync, every change you make in Recruit is detected immediately and added to a queue. The queue is processed every 15 minutes, so most updates appear on LinkedIn shortly after being made in Recruit.
Deletion works the same way. When you delete something in Recruit, it is removed from LinkedIn too. Deleting a parent record also cleans up its related records:
- Deleting a candidate also removes their notes and resumes from LinkedIn
- Deleting an application also removes its notes, resumes, stages, and interview feedback from LinkedIn
Note: interview feedback is only synced after you click Submit Evaluation in Recruit. Simply creating an interview record does not trigger a sync.
What Recruit Sends to LinkedIn
Job openings
Every active job opening is sent to LinkedIn with its title, description, location, status, number of openings, required skills, job type, salary, and industry. The industry is matched automatically to LinkedIn's own industry list. Remote jobs are labeled as such on LinkedIn.
Candidates
All candidate records are sent with name, email, phone, location, current employer, job title, skills, and source. Recruit also includes a link to the candidate's Recruit profile page, which LinkedIn requires.
Applications
Every application connecting a candidate to a job opening is sent to LinkedIn, along with the application source. If the candidate has no email address on file, the application is still sent without it.
Notes
Notes from both candidate records and application records are synced to LinkedIn, including the note text, who wrote it, and when. Notes you write in Recruit show up in LinkedIn Recruiter alongside the candidate.
Resumes
Resume files attached to candidates or applications are uploaded to LinkedIn. Supported file types are PDF, DOCX, and DOC.
Interview feedback
When you submit interview feedback in Recruit, the interviewer's name, the type of interview (phone screen or in-person/video), and the feedback text are all sent to LinkedIn.
Hiring pipeline stages
Your hiring stages in Recruit (such as Screening, Interview, Offer) are synced to LinkedIn so that Connected Projects reflect the same structure.
What LinkedIn Sends to Recruit
1-click export
When one of your recruiters clicks Export to ATS on a LinkedIn candidate profile, Recruit automatically creates or updates a candidate record with the following information:
- First and last name
- Email address (primary and a secondary one if available)
- Phone numbers (up to two)
- Current employer and job title
- City, state, and country
- LinkedIn profile URL
- Skills
- Resume file (if the candidate has one on LinkedIn)
An application is also created automatically, connecting the candidate to the job opening the recruiter selected during export. The candidate's source in Recruit is set to LinkedIn RSC.
In ATS Indicator
After the export, an In ATS badge appears on the candidate's LinkedIn profile whenever anyone in your organization searches for them. This tells recruiters that this person is already in your pipeline and prevents reaching out to them twice.

- Each LinkedIn Recruiter seat can export up to 300 candidate profiles per month.
- Candidates who have turned off data sharing in their LinkedIn privacy settings cannot be exported.
Auto-created candidate records from InMail
When a recruiter sends an InMail to someone who is not yet in Recruit, LinkedIn creates a limited profile for that person called a stub profile. RSC+ checks for these every 15 minutes and automatically creates a candidate record in Recruit for each one, with whatever basic information LinkedIn has available at that point.
Stub profiles are not permanent placeholders. When the candidate replies to the InMail and consents to share their contact information, LinkedIn fills in the full profile details. RSC+ detects this automatically and updates the candidate record in Recruit with the complete information, including email address, phone number, current employer, job title, location, and any other profile data the candidate has shared.
This means a candidate record in Recruit may start with minimal information and get automatically enriched over time as the candidate engages with your outreach. You do not need to do anything manually for this to happen.
What a stub profile typically contains at first:
- First and last name (if available)
- LinkedIn profile URL
What gets added after the candidate consents:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Current employer and job title
- Location
- Skills
- Resume (if available on their LinkedIn profile)
Hiring Assistant Evaluations (RSC+ only)
When LinkedIn Hiring Assistant evaluates a candidate in a Connected Project, the result is automatically sent to Recruit and saved as a Review record on the candidate's profile.
The Review record shows:
- Source: LinkedIn Hiring Assistant Evaluation
- Rating: A star rating out of 5. As per LinkedIn Hiring Assistant's fit assessment, 1 star for not a good fit, 3 stars for might be a fit & 5 stars for top fit.
- Comments: The overall evaluation result, a written summary, and each individual criterion listed as passed or not passed
These records are read-only. They cannot be edited or deleted in Recruit since they come directly from LinkedIn.
To find them, open any candidate or application record and go to the Reviews sub-module. You can filter by source LinkedIn Hiring Assistant Evaluation to see only RSC+ evaluations.
Deleted LinkedIn accounts (purged candidates)
Every 30 days, RSC+ checks LinkedIn for candidates who have removed their data from LinkedIn's ATS sharing system. If any are found, Recruit sends an email to your admin listing the affected candidates and their Recruit profile links.
No data is deleted automatically. The email is a heads-up so your admin can review and decide what action to take, if any.
This check only starts running after the first candidate has been exported via 1-click export. If no exports have happened yet, the check does not run.
When RSC+ is active, a LinkedIn profile panel appears inside every candidate record in Zoho Recruit. It has two tabs.
Profile tab: Shows the candidate's full, live LinkedIn profile including their photo, current role, work history, education, skills, and how they are connected to your organization. You do not need to open LinkedIn separately.
InMail History tab: Shows all InMail messages between your team and this candidate, listed in chronological order with the sender name, message content, and date.
Linking and unlinking profiles
If a candidate was brought into Recruit via 1-click export, their LinkedIn profile is linked automatically. If not, you can manually search for and link the correct LinkedIn profile from within the widget.
If the wrong profile is linked, click Wrong Person's Profile? and unlink it from inside the widget to remove the connection. The candidate record in Recruit stays intact. Only the LinkedIn link is removed, letting you search and link the right profile.
Connected Projects (RSC+ only)
A Connected Project in LinkedIn Recruiter is a shortlist or pipeline of candidates organized around a specific job. When RSC+ is active, your Recruit job openings are available in LinkedIn so recruiters can link their projects to the right job.
Here is what happens in Recruit when recruiters take action in a Connected Project:
What the recruiter does in LinkedIn
| What happens in Recruit
|
Adds a candidate to a Connected Project
| That candidate can be exported to the linked job opening via 1-click export
|
Moves a candidate to a different stage in the project
| The application stage is updated in Recruit
|
Submits a Hiring Assistant evaluation for a candidate
| A Review record is created on that candidate's profile in Recruit
|
Managing Seatholder Mapping
To manage seatholder mappings after the initial setup, go to Setup > Marketplace > LinkedIn > LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC), click the Configure icon.
Doing so will let you add/remove and map LinkedIn Recruiter Seatholders with Zoho Recruit users. Click Save when you're done.
Adding a new seatholder
When a new recruiter joins your organization and gets a LinkedIn Recruiter seat, they will appear in the seatholder list. Click Refresh to pull the latest list from LinkedIn, find the new seatholder, and use the dropdown to select their matching Recruit user.
Until a seatholder is mapped, their InMail history and profile widget activity will not appear in Recruit.
Removing or reassigning a seatholder
If a recruiter leaves or moves to a different role, find them in the seatholder list and clear their mapping. To reassign the seat to a new user, select the replacement from the dropdown.
InMail history already stored in Recruit for the previous seatholder is not deleted when the mapping is removed. It stays on the relevant candidate records.
Things to keep in mind:
- Each LinkedIn seatholder can only be connected to one Recruit user, and vice versa
- Seatholders with a status of Parked or Inactive appear in the list but cannot be mapped until their LinkedIn seat is active again
- Use the search bar to find a specific seatholder by name or email if your organization has a large number of seats
Checking Sync Status
To see whether your records are syncing correctly, go to Setup > LinkedIn Integrations > LinkedIn RSC+ and click the Sync Reports tab.
The report shows every record that was synced or attempted, with the following columns:
Column
| What it shows
|
Record
| A link to the record in Recruit
|
Module
| The type of record (candidate, job opening, application, etc.) |
Status
| Whether the sync succeeded, failed, or is queued
|
Synced At
| When the sync was attempted
|
Reason
| The error from LinkedIn, if the sync failed
|
You can filter the list by status or record type, and switch between newest-first and oldest-first ordering.
Fixing a failed sync
If a record failed to sync, click Resync on that row. It is immediately added back to the queue and will be sent to LinkedIn on the next sync run (within 15 minutes). Keep in mind that you can select multiple rows if you wish to resync in bulk.
For certain record types like application stages, notes, and interview feedback, the link in the Record column goes to the parent record (the application or candidate) rather than the sub-record itself.
