Configuring Zoho People
The integration between Zoho Recruit and Zoho People is a dynamic solution designed to unify and streamline the recruitment process from start to finish. By bridging these platforms, it enables a seamless transition from candidate sourcing and selection to the induction of new hires as employees or contractors.

How to set up the Zoho People Integration?
Streamline your recruitment process by effortlessly integrating Zoho People with Zoho Recruit. Follow these steps to seamlessly connect the two platforms, enabling automated updates and smoother transitions for your candidates turned employees or contractors.
Permission Required:
- Only users with the Zoho People Integration permission can configure the integration. This is available by default for the Administrator user-profile.
- The user must also be an Administrator in Zoho People to configure the integration.
To enable the Zoho People integration;
- Navigate to Zoho Recruit's Setup > Marketplace > Zoho > Zoho People.
- Enable the toggle to activate the Zoho People integration.
How to map Zoho People fields with Zoho Recruit?
Customize your data management effortlessly by mapping Zoho People fields with their corresponding sections in Zoho Recruit. This configuration ensures seamless data transfer and alignment between the platforms, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in your recruitment workflow.
To map Zoho People fields with Zoho Recruit;
- Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > Zoho > Zoho People.
- Select a module and map Zoho People fields to corresponding Zoho Recruit fields.
- Click Map Section to link Zoho Recruit tabular sections to Zoho People.
- If you wish to undo mapping, hover over the mapped section and click Unmap.
- Click Save.
Moving attachments from Recruit to People
While mapping Zoho Recruit field to Zoho People's Onboarding/Employees module, you will have the option to map fields with attachment categories you have in Zoho Recruit. Doing so will automatically move any attachment with the mapped category to Zoho People when you use the Push to Onboarding (or) Convert as Employee function.
Auto-Push Applicant Data
Effortlessly streamline your data flow by enabling the auto-push feature, facilitating seamless transfer of applicant data from Zoho Recruit to your designated module within Zoho People. Simplify your recruitment process with automated data synchronization for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
- Enable the Automatically move candidates to Zoho People toggle.
- Choose which module (Employees or Onboarding) you wish to push candidates to and select a candidate status from triggering data movement.
- Click Update to save your configuration.
Push Offer Details to Zoho People
Easily sync offer details from Zoho Recruit to Zoho People with a dedicated section for details such as Date of Joining, CTC, and more.
- Enable the Push Offer Details to Zoho People toggle.
- A pop-up will then be displayed showing you the default field mapping for both the Employee and Onboarding modules in Zoho People. Click Proceed.
- A separate section will then be created for Offer Details as shown below.
Note:
- While manually pushing a candidate to Zoho People, Offer Details will be pushed only if the user has permission to access offer fields (both module & field permissions). Similarly, for the offer letter to be pushed to People, the user performing the action should have the required Attachment Permissions.
- The mapping of Offer Details with Zoho People fields cannot be changed.
- The CTC field will be pushed to Zoho People only if the value is in per month or per year.
- Only the latest Offer Letter accepted by the candidate will be pushed to Zoho People.
- If a candidate has both Permanent & Contract offers active simultaneously, then only the Permanent offer will be pushed to Zoho People.
Manual Actions
Upon integrating with Zoho People, you will have the following actions available in Zoho Recruit;
- Convert as Employee
- Push to Onboarding
Convert as Employee
Effortlessly transition successful candidates into employees/users with the Convert as Employee function. Seamlessly update their details in Zoho People, initiating necessary changes and records within the system to reflect their new role within your organization.
Permission Required: Only users with the Convert as Employee profile permission can perform this action. By default, this permission is available for the Administrator and Standard user-profiles.
Follow the steps given below to add a candidate in Zoho Recruit as an employee in Zoho People;
- Go to the Candidate and click More Actions > Convert as Employee.
- In the Convert Candidate page;
- Select Create New Employee or Create New Contractor.
- If you convert the candidate into a contractor, the candidate will not have access to the employee portal in Zoho People.
- Candidate details will auto-populated based on the field mapping configured while setting up the integration.
- Click Convert.
- The candidate will then be added as an employee in your Zoho People account.
Note:
The Duration of a candidate's Education & Experience is stored as a month range (From & To) in Zoho Recruit. This value will be pushed to Zoho People as shown below;
- Education Details
To Date (from duration) will be synced with the Date of Completion field. - Experience Details
Work Duration will be split into two fields and synced with the From Date & To Date fields.
Push Candidate to Onboarding
Accelerate the onboarding journey by swiftly initiating the Push to Onboarding action within Zoho Recruit. Seamlessly transfer candidate details to Zoho People, expediting their integration into your company's onboarding processes and workflows.
Follow the steps given below to move a candidate in Zoho Recruit to the Onboarding module in Zoho People;
- Go to the Candidate and click More Actions > Push to Onboarding.
- In the Push to Onboarding page;
- Fill-in (or) map fields if necessary.
- Candidate details will auto-populated based on the field mapping configured while setting up the integration.
- Click Convert.
- The candidate will then be added to Organization > Onboarding in your Zoho People account.
Note:
The Duration of a candidate's Education & Experience is stored as a month range (From & To) in Zoho Recruit. This value will be pushed to Zoho Poeple as shown below;
- Education Details
To Date (from duration) will be synced with the Date of Completion field. - Experience Details
Work Duration will be converted to number of months and synced with the Duration field.
