HackerRank for Zoho Recruit

If you have a HackerRank account, you can integrate it with Zoho Recruit to streamline your technical hiring process. This integration allows recruiters and hiring managers to:
  1. Send coding assessments directly from within Zoho Recruit
  2. Track candidate progress without switching platforms
  3. View assessment results directly in the candidate’s profile.
Everything, from test initiation to result tracking, can be managed using Zoho Recruit.

Prerequisites  

Before setting up the integration, ensure that:

  • You have an active HackerRank account

  • You have Admin access in HackerRank to generate an API key

Setting Up the Integration  

Step 1: Generate API key in HackerRank

  1. Log in to your HackerRank account (Admin credentials required)
  2. Navigate to Settings

  3. Locate the Zoho Recruit integration section

  4. Click Generate API Key

  5. Copy this key. You will need to add this key to the ZohoRecruit account to establish the integration.

Step 2: Configure integration in Zoho Recruit  

  1. Log in to Zoho Recruit. Go to Settings > Marketplace

  2. Search for HackerRank in the list of integrations 


  3. Click Install

  4. Click on it and choose the users/profiles for installation

  5. Add the API key copied from HackerRank into the HackerRank API key field under Extension Settings.

Once completed, the integration will be active, and you can start sending assessments.

Sending an assessment to a candidate 

  1. Navigate to the Candidates module and select the desired candidate

  2. Click Initiate HackerRank Assessment

  3. Choose the Assessment Type

  4. Click Initiate Assessment.
  5. The HackerRank test invite link, score and report will be sent back to candidates profile

  6. The HackerRank test interview link and report will be sent back to candidate's Zoho profiles
