First Advantage for Zoho Recruit
Running background checks on your future employees will help you maintain safe, compliant, and inclusive hiring practices—so if you're thinking of sending an offer to a candidate, Zoho Recruit's integration with First Advantage makes it fast and easy to run background checks that best suit your needs.
Installing the extension
Sign up with First Advantage. Write to the support team of First Advantage and you will receive the API Key and Parent Account ID. The API Key will be just numbers while the Parent Account ID will be two long string of numbers and letters. When you receive it, copy it to your clipboard.
With the Parent Account ID and API Key in hand, sign in to Zoho Recruit:
- Click Setup > Marketplace
- Locate First Advantage in the list of background check providers integrations and click on it
- Choose users/profiles to install the integration.
- Click Authorize to finish installation.
Provide your Parent Account ID and API Key to the field in the pop-up that appears.
The connection will be complete. You can configure the field data that can be shared with First Advantage while initiating a background check for a candidate
You'll be able to start sending out candidates for the screening. When you send a candidate for screening, you can view the results directly in Zoho Recruit.
Running a Background Check on a Candidate
To run a background check on a candidate, go to the Candidates module and select a candidate record. Click Initiate FADV BG Check.
In the new tab, kindly select the Account ID for which the background check packages will be loaded.
Once the packages are loaded, select the First Advantage package. The different background screenings available for the package are also displayed.
The customer can choose Client Reference and User Defined Fields if needed. If chosen, both the choice and the data shared will be updated in the First Advantage Reports module.
A mail is sent to the candidate asking him/her to fill in their details. And a new record will be created in the First Advantage Reports Module.
In your First Advantage Reports module, you can see the Application Status of the candidate is Applicant Invited. Once the candidate fills up the details,
- A background check order will be created in FADV end, they will initiate the BG Verification process, which can be viewed in Order Status field.
- Once the BG Check is completed Order Status and Result Status(Result status will be updated only if its available) are updated in First Advantage Reports module.
