Converting Candidates into Contacts

Zoho Recruit gives you the option to convert a candidate record into a contact record and vice versa.

Single Conversion

  1. Click on the Candidate tab.
  2. In the Candidate list page, click on the candidate you desire to convert into a contact record.
  3. In the Candidate Details page, click on the More Actions button and click on Convert as Contact.
  4. Select whether you want to Copy as Contact or Move to Contact.
  5. From the right panel, under the Quick Links section, click the Candidate Conversion Mapping link if you want to map the fields in the Candidate field with that of the Contact field.
  6. You may also copy notes, attachments, and activities to the new Contact.
  7. Click Convert.
Note:
When the Email Address Duplication Check is enabled you won't be able to convert a candidate record into a contact record and vice versa if the following conditions are true:
  1. The candidate is assigned to a User A and User B tries to convert it.
  2. User B is a subordinate to User A in the organization's hierarchy.
  3. The record itself has duplicates.

Mass Coversions

You can also perform bulk conversions of candidate records into contact records and vice versa.
 
To perform Mass Conversion of candidates to contacts:
  1. Click on the Candidates module in your home page.
  2. Click on the More Actions button and select Mass Convert.
  3. In the conversion page, choose if you'd like to Copy as Contacts or Move as Contacts.
  4. Select the candidate records that you would like to convert.
  5. If you would like to map the fields in the Candidate field with that of the Contact field, you can do so by clicking on the Conversion Mapping option on the top-right side of the page.
  6. Once you're done, click Convert.
