What is the Applications Module?
The Applications module creates a record each time a candidate applies for a job. For instance, if a candidate applies for Job 'A' today and for Job 'B' a few months later, two separate application records will be created for the same candidate. See More Applications in Zoho Recruit

Test Environment
To ensure a smooth transition, we've created a test environment. This allows you to explore the Applications module with your existing data before enabling it in your live account. By using the test account, you can:
- Understand the interface changes
- Familiarize yourself with the new features
- Test the module without affecting your live account
Available Data in the Test Environment
- Record Duplication:
The most recent 10,000 records from all modules from your live account will be duplicated into the test environment. - Cloned Modules:
The following modules will be cloned: Clients, Contacts, Job Openings, Candidates, Interviews, Notes, Tasks, Events, Submissions, Reviews, Offers, Referrals, and Activity Log. Candidate-Job Openings associations will be under the Applications module.
Note: Changes made in the test environment (such as Blueprints, email templates, etc.) will not be reflected in the live account, ensuring the live account remains unaffected.
Activate Applications Module in Test Environment
Important Note:
- This option is available by default only for Standard and Professional plan users from the India, Europe and US regions.

Application functionalities
The changes you will see in the test environment as part of enabling the Applications module will be the following:
Applications sub-module:Under the Candidates module, there will be a sub module called the applications module. (If you are a Zoho One user, you'll have Applications as a separate module.)
- Separate Application Record
Every candidate who applies OR candidate-job association will be created as an individual application record within Zoho Recruit. For example, if Sally applies for two different job openings with different resumes, they will be added as two separate applications or records within the Applications module. - New Updates in Hiring Pipeline
The new stages introduced in the Hiring Pipeline are Hired, Rejected, archived, and offered (corporate HR users).
Transition Comparison : Existing vs New Version
Current Version
| New Version with the Applications module
|
- Users must navigate between every job to check for associated candidates.
| - The Applications module page is a complete package that helps users filter applications based on job openings and view all candidate details on a single page
|
- If there are 10 candidate applications for a job and one gets selected. Users cannot send notifications or trigger workflows for the remaining nine applications that are neither selected nor rejected.
| - In the new version, all applications that are neither selected nor rejected will go to the new stage, called Archived in Hiring Pipeline. This stage helps users send emails or trigger workflows in Zoho Recruit that update candidate status, thus improving the overall candidate experience.
