Recorded Video Interview: Candidate Aspect

The Recorded Video Interview feature in Zoho Recruit allows you to complete interviews at your convenience by recording responses to predefined questions and submit them for evaluation by the interviewer. This asynchronous format allows you to complete the interview at your convenience within the specified timeframe. This guide walks you through the entire process—from receiving the interview invitation to submitting your responses.

Prerequisites

  1. A computer with a working camera and microphone
  2. A stable internet connection
  3. Your interview invitation email

Camera and Sound Permissions   

When starting a live video interview, users must:
  1. Grant camera permissions for video visibility
  2. Enable microphone access to ensure proper communication
  3. Ensure they have a stable internet connection
  4. Check system settings to allow Zoho Recruit to use the required hardware.

Attending Recorded Video Interview

 Step 1: Receiving the Interview Invitation   

After an interview is scheduled, candidates will receive an email containing:

  1. Click the interview link provided in your email to access the Interview Details page

  2. Review the position details and click Next to continue
  3. Read the interview instructions carefully and Check the consent checkbox to acknowledge you understand the process
  4. Click Take Video Interview to proceed



 Step 2: Enabling Audio and Video Permissions   

  1. When prompted, allow the website to access your Camera & Microphone

  2. Click Start Meeting to begin the interview session

 Step 3: Recording Your Answers 

  1. Each question will be displayed on screen with any applicable time limits
  2. Record your response to each question
  3. Use the navigation controls above to proceed to the next question
Note: You can only navigate to questions you've already answered

Step 4: Submitting Your Interview 

  1. After answering all questions, click End Interview Session
  2. You'll have one opportunity to review and re-record your answers if desired

    1. Click Review Answers to watch your recordings
    2. Select Reanswer for any responses you wish to re-record

  3. Complete the optional feedback form about your experience
  4. Click Submit to finalize your interview

    Your recorded responses will be sent to the interviewer for evaluation. You'll be notified of next steps through the email address associated with your application.

Video interview Credits

Video interviews operate using video credits. By default, we provide one video interview credit. A single credit allows multiple video interviews for one active job opening. To obtain additional video interview credits, you can purchase an add-on for $12 or ₹600 per month per credit under Profile > Manage Subscription and click Upgrade Users/Add-ons. Click here to see how to purchase additional video interview credits.
