Zoho Recruit integrates with multiple external job boards to help you distribute job openings efficiently. In this process, Zoho Recruit acts solely as a facilitator, enabling the publishing and distribution of your job listings to partner platforms.
Zoho Recruit does not function as the employer, recruiting agency, or hiring authority for the roles posted. Responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and legitimacy of job postings remains entirely with the organization publishing the job.
However, to maintain a trusted hiring ecosystem and uphold the standards required by our job board partners, all listings must comply with the guidelines outlined below.
These guidelines exist to:
- Protect candidates from misleading or exploitative opportunities
- Ensure employer credibility
- Maintain strong publishing relationships with partner job boards
- Prevent publishing restrictions or account limitations
All job listings are subject to review and may be rejected if they do not meet the standards described in this article.
1. Legitimate Employment Opportunities Only
All job postings must represent a genuine, clearly defined employment opportunity with transparent terms of engagement. We do not support listings that primarily operate as recruitment chains, commission funnels, or referral-based income models.
Prohibited Posting Categories
The following types of roles are not permitted:
- Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) structures where compensation depends on recruiting others.
- Recruitment-based override models where income is generated by building downstream networks.
- Pyramid-style compensation structures.
- Commission-only or performance-only roles with no guaranteed base compensation.
- Independent contractor opportunities that do not offer guaranteed pay.
While independent contractor roles are valid in many industries, if the compensation model relies entirely on commissions, overrides, or performance-based payouts without guaranteed earnings, we will be unable to host the listing on our platform.
Compensation Transparency (Mandatory)
To ensure clarity and candidate trust, every job must include:
- A guaranteed hourly wage or
- A guaranteed annual base salary
Clear compensation details reduce candidate drop-offs, increase application quality, and align with partner job board policies that increasingly require wage transparency.
If compensation details are vague, conditional, or entirely performance-based, the posting may be rejected.
2. No Upfront Candidate Costs
Job postings must not shift mandatory financial responsibility to candidates. Candidates should never be required to pay for:
- Licensing
- Training programs
- Certifications
- Equipment or tools
- Sales leads
- Placement fees
- Application processing
- Background checks (unless reimbursed)
Legitimate employers invest in their hiring and onboarding processes. If a role requires upfront payment from candidates in order to qualify, participate, or succeed, it will not be permitted on the platform.
This rule protects job seekers from exploitative models and preserves the integrity of job board partnerships.
Every job listing must provide sufficient detail for a candidate to make an informed decision before applying. Each posting should clearly include:
- A professional and accurate job title
- A detailed description of responsibilities
- Required qualifications and skills
- Employment type (Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship, etc.)
- Location (or clearly marked Remote)
- Salary or compensation range where required
- Company name (unless the job board supports confidential listings)
Avoid the Following
- Keyword stuffing for search visibility
- Excessive capitalization (e.g., “URGENT HIRING $$$”)
- Promotional language unrelated to the job role
- Combining multiple unrelated positions in a single listing
- Posting generic descriptions with no specific responsibilities
Incomplete or misleading listings negatively impact candidate experience and may be flagged during review.
4. Non-Discriminatory and Inclusive Language
All job postings must comply with equal opportunity and anti-discrimination standards applicable in the job’s location. Job descriptions must focus on:
- Skills
- Experience
- Certifications
- Role requirements
Do not include preferences or restrictions based on:
- Age
- Gender
- Religion
- Ethnicity
- National origin
- Marital or family status
- Disability
- Sexual orientation
Exclusionary or biased language may result in immediate rejection and could impact publishing access.
5. No Spam, Marketing, or Data Harvesting
Zoho Recruit job boards are strictly for employment opportunities.
Listings must not be used for:
- Lead generation or marketing funnels
- Promoting unrelated services or products
- Collecting candidate data for resale
- Redirecting applicants to non-job-related landing pages
- Driving traffic to affiliate platforms
Additionally:
- Do not misrepresent your organization’s identity.
- Do not repeatedly post the same job in multiple irrelevant locations to increase exposure.
- Do not create duplicate listings to manipulate visibility.
Such practices may result in listing removal and possible suspension of job board integrations.
6. Location and Remote Work Accuracy
Job location must accurately reflect where the candidate is expected to work. If the role is remote, clearly specify:
- Fully Remote
- Hybrid (with expected office days)
- Region-restricted Remote (e.g., Remote – India only)
Artificially tagging high-traffic cities or multiple regions to increase visibility is considered misleading and may result in rejection by partner job boards.
7. Compliance with Partner Job Board Policies
Each job board integrated with Zoho Recruit maintains its own compliance rules. When you publish a job through Zoho Recruit, your listing is subject to:
- Zoho Recruit internal moderation
- External job board review systems
- Automated content scanning tools
Zoho Recruit reserves the right to:
- Reject listings that violate policy
- Remove previously approved jobs if flagged later
- Temporarily or permanently restrict publishing access for repeated violations
Approval is not guaranteed, even if similar jobs were previously accepted.
8. Review and Enforcement Process
All job postings may undergo automated or manual review before and after publication.
If your job is rejected:
- Review the guidelines outlined above.
- Update the listing to ensure compliance.
- Republish once corrections are made.
Repeated violations may result in temporary publishing restrictions to maintain platform quality.
Maintaining a Trusted Hiring Ecosystem
These guidelines are designed to protect both employers and candidates.
By ensuring:
- Transparent compensation
- Ethical hiring practices
- Clear and accurate job information
- Fair opportunity standards
You contribute to a reliable and high-quality hiring marketplace.
Adhering to these standards helps prevent disruptions in your hiring workflow and ensures smooth publishing across all integrated job boards.
