Adding segment tags via CSV file during note creation

1. Add the required segment tags to the CSV file in which you have the survey data that has to be added to notes.
   Note: You can also add the required segment tags to the CSV file right from with ResearchStudio using the built-in spreadsheet editor.
2. Locate and open the required CSV file from the Study Data tab.
   
3. Select the columns that you wish to apply as segment tags. The value of this columns will be created and applied as the segment tag to the corresponding note.
   
4. In the Treat This Column Value As dropdown that appears below the selected columns, select Segment Tags and choose the mode in which you wish to assign the segment tags.
   
5. Select the columns that you wish to use as the Note Tile and Note Content, click Export, choose the desired project, and click Copy to Project
   Note: You can also code the note content automatically using the Configure AutoTag Rules option that appears below the columns selected as Note Content.
6. Each selected row will be created as a note in the selected project with the appropriate segment tags.
   

Adding segment tags from the Segment Tags tab

1. Click the Projects tab located on the left pane.
   
2. Select the relevant project from the ones listed.
   
3. Click the Segment Tags tab located within the project.
   
4. In the Segment Tags pane,
   a. Click the more icon located at the top of the default Untitled Group board, and enter the name of the new segment tag group that you wish to create.
   b. Click the New Tag button located inside the tag board and enter the name of the segment tag that you wish to add. Repeat this until you add all the tags.
   c. Repeat the above two steps to add another segment tag group and its corresponding tags.

Adding segment tags from notes

1. Click the Projects tab located on the left pane.
   
2. Select the relevant project from the ones listed.
   
3. Click the Notes tab. It will be the default tab selected when you select a project.
   
4. Select the notes to which you wish to assign the segment tag.
   
5. Click the Add Segment Tag option located in the menu that appears at the top of the notes listing.
   
6. In the Add Segment Tags dialog, enter the names of the segment tag that you wish to assign to the selected notes. If you wish to add multiple tags, separate them by commas.
   
7. Click Assign. You can see the new tags in the Segment Tags column of the selected notes.
