There are two main types of credits in RouteIQ to measure your usage. They are Address Credits (AC) and Route Credits (RC). In the following help doc, you will understand what address credits are, how they are consumed, what happens when you run out of them and how to manage them efficiently.

Address Credits

These credits are used whenever RouteIQ converts a text-based address into its corresponding geographic coordinates which is necessary as the record needs to be plotted on map and be used for other functionalities within RouteIQ.

How Address Credits are consumed

Notes

Note:

1. Each address-to-coordinate conversion remains valid for 30 days.

2. After 30 days, the conversion is refreshed automatically.
3. Each refresh consumes 1 Address Credit per record.

The Credits Usage Summary shows how and when your RouteIQ credits are used, giving clear visibility into Address Credits so you can plan purchases, manage thresholds, and avoid interruptions.

How to access 'Address Credits' Usage

Navigate to: RouteIQ → Settings → Credit Usage -> Address Credits Usage

Here, you will be able to see a separate usage summary for Address Credits Usage. This section can be analysed independently.

The usage tables show credits consumed during the selected period and aggregated totals based on the chosen time range. This helps you identify high-usage actions, track growth over time and correlate usage with business activity.

Our recommendations:

1. Enable usage-based billing for uninterrupted workflows.
2. Keep thresholds slightly above average usage.
3. If usage-based billing is enabled, keep the Address Credits threshold at least 20% higher than the total number of records in RouteIQ.
