Webpages

The Webpages module lets you add website URLs directly into SalesIQ and use them as a knowledge source for your bots and operators. Once a URL is added, SalesIQ crawls the page, extracts its text content, and automatically uses it to train the bot. The bot uses this content to answer visitor queries. Operators can also share these URLs with visitors during conversations.
Currently, only the content of the exact URL is used. SalesIQ does not crawl or navigate to other pages (subpages) from that URL.
Key behaviour:
- Training is automatic once the page is successfully crawled
- If a webpage is updated, the bot will continue using old data until you resync
- Only text content is extracted (images are not supported)
Adding webpages
To add webpages:
- Navigate to Knowledge Center > Webpages
- Click Add
- Enter the webpage URL(s), and the title will be auto-generated.
- The pages will start to crawl, and their status will be displayed at the top.
Crawling may fail upon the following reasons
- The URL is invalid
- The page returns errors (e.g., 404 or 403)
- The page is private or not publicly accessible
Failed pages will be marked as Failed.
- Next, select the language
Language guidelines- Add webpages one language at a time
- Do not mix multiple languages in a single upload
- The selected language determines how the content is processed
- If languages are mixed, the pages will not be used for training
- Next, choose the department and category
- Enable Allow sharing with the visitor (optional)
- Click Save
- Once added, SalesIQ will crawl the pages and begin training automatically.
Managing webpages
- All added pages are listed in the Webpages section
- If a webpage is updated, click Resync all to fetch the latest content
- You can resync individual pages or all pages at once
If a page becomes private after being added, the bot will continue using the last successfully crawled data.
Limits & constraints
- A maximum of 2000 webpages is supported per portal
- Each URL must be added individually
- Duplicate URLs are not allowed
- SalesIQ does not crawl subpages or entire domains
Example: Adding https://www.zoho.com will only use that page, not pages like https://www.zoho.com/salesiq

- Articles - Use for structured, curated, and detailed documentation
- FAQs - Use for short, specific, and edge-case questions
