Troubleshooting for SalesIQ audio & screen share errors

Below are some audio and screen sharing errors that may occur in various browsers and the solutions for the same.

1. Microphone Access blocked error

The Access blocked error may occur if you have denied SalesIQ the permission to access your microphone. This will be when the microphone permission is set to 'Ask' or 'Block' state.

Solution:

There are two levels of permissions required for Microphone settings.
  1. Browser permission: Provide permission for your required browsers to access your microphone, to allow SalesIQ audio and voice notes while using your browser.
  2. System permission: This is for your SalesIQ App. Provide system-level permission for your SalesIQ application to access your microphone.

Permissions for Mac

Follow the below steps to enable microphone permissions for your Mac.
  1. Open System Settings in your Mac device.
  2. Navigate to Privacy and Security.
  3. Under Privacy, select Microphone.
  4. Enable Microphone permission for your required browsers and the SalesIQ application.

Permissions for Windows

SalesIQ App
  1. On your Windows system, navigate to Settings > Privacy and select Microphone on the left tab.
  2. Enable Microphone setting for SalesIQ application by enabling the 'Allow desktop apps to access your microphone' option.


Browser 
  1. Follow the below steps to provide permission for your browser to access your microphone.
  2. Click on the 'View site information' icon next to the website address.
  3. Enable Microphone permission.

2. Screen access blocked error

The Screen access blocked error may occur if you have denied screen recording permissions for your browser in your System preferences.


Solution:

Provide system-level screen recording permission for your required browsers to enable screens haring for SalesIQ. 

Permissions for Mac

Follow the below steps to enable microphone permissions for your Mac.
  1. Open System Settings in your Mac device.
  2. Navigate to Privacy and Security.
  3. Under Privacy, select Screen recording.
  4. Enable Screen recording permission for your required browsers.
