GetResponse is an email marketing platform that enables you to create a valuable marketing list of prospects, partners, and clients, so you can develop relationships with them and build a responsive and profitable customer base.
How to integrate GetResponse with SalesIQ?
- Navigate to Settings > Developer Space > Integrations > Email Marketing > GetResponse.
- Inside the GetResponse dashboard you will find two sections: Identifier Link and Smart Identifier Link.
As you click on these, both sections have disclaimers on privacy concerns displayed. The same can also be viewed within both sections by clicking on View at the top.
Privacy concerns
Using Identifiers might result in some privacy concerns for the visitors.
- If your visitor opens the identifiers link to visit your website, their details might appear in the URL and this information maybe exposed to advertisers and might affect your visitors' google search results.
- If your visitors' access the links while on a public wifi, their name and email will be exposed.
Identifier Link:
- Identifier links help you find the name and email of the visitor visiting your website by clicking on the link from the campaign.
- You need to paste the link you embed in the campaign - the one that directs visitors to your website in the Enter the Website Link field and click Generate. The identifier params will be added to the link. Then, you can copy the link generated and add it to the email.
Smart Identifier Link:
Smart Identifiers are nothing but a 1x1 pixel tracking image attached to the email campaigns, The identifier params are added to the link. You can copy and use the link to your 'email content' to identify the recipients name and email when they visit your website by clicking on the link in the campaign.
Smart identifiers will not work in the following conditions:
If the recipient has disabled the image loading option in the email client.
If the image is stored and served from the email server (Eg: Gmail)
How to identify website visitors name and email address referred from campaign emails sent through GetResponse
You can identify the website visitors from the GetResponse campaign by adding the SalesIQ parameter mentioned below after the backlinks (which directs the customer to your website) in the campaign emails.
SalesIQ Params to be included in the backlinks
