Using shapes in Zoho Sheet

Shapes in Zoho Sheet let you create visual elements like simple diagrams, drawings, and flowcharts in your spreadsheet. They help you illustrate data and deliver complex ideas effectively.

 How to insert a shape 

  1. Go to Insert > Shape.
  2. A pop-up window will appear. Choose Text, Shape, or Diagram from the Insert panel.
  3.  Enable Continuous-draw mode to repeatedly insert the same shape without reselecting it.
  4. To add text, select a shape and start typing. 


 How to add text 

  1. Select Text from the Insert panel at the top.
  2. Enter your text.
  3. Select the entered text to display formatting options.


How to add diagrams to your sheet 

  1. From the Insert panel in the edit window, go to Diagrams.
  2. Choose a category from List, Process, Pyramid or Cycle.
  3. Select the number of levels to define how many stages you want to display in your diagram.
  4. Click the text within the diagram to edit and resize by dragging the corners of the diagram.


How to draw with custom shapes 
  1. Open the Edit window.
  2. Select Shape from the Insert panel at the top.
  3. Choose Draw options from the bottom: LineScribble, Free-form, or Curve.

  How to edit and format a shape 

  1. Double-click a shape to open the edit pop-up.
  2. To format, select the shape to view options on the right pane—adjust size, text, color, and more.
  3. Add colors, shadows, gradients, or patterns, and arrange them as needed.
  4. You can also group or ungroup shapes, text, and diagrams by selecting them together.



 More actions with shapes 

  1. To delete a shape:
Select the shape and press delete on your keyboard or, right-click the shape and select delete from the dropdown.
  1. To clone a shape:
Right-click on the shape and select Clone from the dropdown.
  1. To save as an image:
Right-click on the shape and select Save as an image. Your shape will be downloaded as a picture file.
  1. To move your shape:
Select and drag the shape to your desired cell location.
