Convert an image to a spreadsheet
The Data from Picture feature allows you to quickly extract text and numerical data from images and convert them into an editable spreadsheet. Whether you have a printed table or a screenshot of a dataset, this feature uses advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to recognize and structure the information efficiently.
To use Data from Picture:
- Navigate to Data -> Data from Picture
- Click on the dialog box to select an image from your computer, or drag and drop your file directly in the provided space. You can also paste the image from your clipboard.
- Edit the image as per your requirement. Using our image editing tools, you can rotate, expand, or crop your image. Once you're done, click Next.
- The extracted data will be shown as a preview. Here, you can edit the data in the cells or use the Append options to edit your spreadsheet.
- Select the location where you want to have this data.
- Click Insert.

Supported extensions for the image are .jpeg, .jpg, .png, and, .bmp
File size cannot exceed 10 MB.
Images need to be in English for extracting the data.
