Share your spreadsheets

How to share a spreadsheet

To share a spreadsheet:
  1. Click Share in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Share from the contextual menu.
  3. Enter the email address with whom you wish to share the document.
  4. Set access level for each collaborator.

The available access levels are:
  1. View only - The collaborator can only view the spreadsheet and cannot edit the document.
  2. View and Comment - The collaborator can view and comment on the spreadsheet but cannot edit the document.
  3. Edit -The collaborator can view, comment, edit but cannot share the document.
  4. Share - The collaborator can view, comment, edit, and share the document.
Notes
You can change access permissions after sharing the document.

How to share your spreadsheet to the external world

To share your spreadsheets with anyone:
  1. Click Share in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Share from the contextual menu.
  3. Click on the new external link from the pop-up.
  4. Enter a link name and select the visibility for the sheet.
  5. Click Create.
  6. Copy the link and share it with anyone.
You can set the visibility of the sheet as follows:
  1. Collaborators only - Only the people you've shared the spreadsheet with can view it.
  2. Everyone in the Organization - Members within a specific organization can view it.
  3. Password protected - Only those with the password can access the spreadsheet.
  4. Public - Anyone can view it.
