Freeze/Unfreeze panes

Freeze panes keep a selected range or column headers visible when you scroll through large sets of data.

How to freeze rows/columns


To freeze column/rows:
  1. Go to the View tab.
  2. You can freeze specific parts of the sheet using the following options: 

    1.  Use Freeze First Row to keep the first row visible
    2. Use Freeze First Column to keep the first column visible.
  3. Alternatively, select any cell in the sheet and click the Freeze Panes button to freeze any number of rows/columns or both as needed.

How to unfreeze rows/columns

To unfreeze rows/columns:


  1. Go to the View tab.
  2. Select Unfreeze Panes
  3. Select whether you wish to unfreeze rows, columns, or both.
