Print settings

How to print a range or sheet

To print the entire spreadsheet or a selected range:
  1. Go to the Page Layout tab and click the Print Preview icon.
  2. Alternatively, you can click the Print icon at the top or use the Cmd+P shortcut.
You can explore the following options with print settings:

  1. Orientation: You can either print in portrait, the vertical orientation or in landscape, the horizontal orientation.

  2. Size: Select a paper size from the 9 default paper sizes available. You can also define a custom paper size to print your data.

  3. Scaling: You can scale content to fit the page, fit to the height, fit to the width, or choose to scale the content manually.

  4. Margins: You can adjust the top, bottom, left and right margins.

  5. Align: You can choose to align the print area to the vertical or horizontal center.

  6. Page Order: If your spreadsheet content is spilling over to more than a page, you can choose to print across first and then down, or down first and then across.


  7. Header: You can choose to add elements to your print file as headers that'll repeat themselves on every page.

  8. Footer: You can choose to add elements to your print file as footers that'll repeat themselves on every page.

    You can make the following elements part of your header or footer:
      1. Workbook name
      2. Sheet name
      3. Date
      4. Time
      5. Current page number
      6. The total number of pages  

    Some other print options

    1. Repeat frozen rows
    2. Repeat frozen columns
    3. Include gridlines on print
    4. Include charts, images, or buttons on print
