Update organization settings
You can update and configure organization settings, such as date format, time zone, and other default preferences that apply across your account.
Before you start
To update the organization settings, you need Administrator access or the Manage account and other settings permission.
- Click the Settings icon in the top-right corner of Zoho Shifts.
- Open the General tab and update the following details as needed:
- Enter the official name of your business as the organization Name, as it should appear for your employees across schedules, reports, and emails.
- Select the Timezone in which your organization operates. If you have employees working in different time zones around the clock, total hours of scheduling, time entries, and payroll will be reflected based on the organization's timezone.
- Select the Country of operation.
- Select the Currency.
- Select the Language based on your preference. This language is set as the primary communication language for employee emails, such as invitations, shift reminders, and so on, until an employee changes their preference in my profile.
- Choose the Date Format to be displayed as MM/DD/YYY or DD/MM/YYY based on your preference.
- Choose the Time Format to display schedules and time entries in 12- or 24-hour format.
- Select a day for Workweek Starts On. This setting affects your weekly and biweekly views in the schedule editor and weekly overtime calculations.
- Update the Working Days and hours to set your organization’s business hours for each day of the week and mark certain days as closed. If an employee submits time-off requests on days when your organization is closed, they won’t be paid for those days.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
