Clock In, Clock Out, and Manage Breaks

Clocking in to your shift

Clocking is how you can track the hours you’ve worked in Zoho Shifts. You can clock in from the mobile app or the web. If your workplace uses a kiosk, check this article for more.

To clock in and out  

  1. Open the Zoho Shifts mobile app.
  2. Tap Clock In.
  3. If you’re scheduled, your shift appears on the home screen. If your organization allows clocking in for unscheduled shifts, you can manually choose the Schedule, Position, and Job Site from the Clock In window.
  4. Enter Time Entry Notes (optional).
  5. Tap Clock In to confirm.
To clock out, you can follow the same steps and select Clock Out.

Taking a break

After clocking in, you will see the option to take a break if your organization has set it up in Zoho Shifts.
  1. Tap Take Break when you are ready to start your break.
  2. Choose a Break type.
  3. Tap Start.

To clock in and out 

  1. Navigate to Dashboard.
  2. If you’re scheduled, your shift appears on the Time Clock section. If your organization allows clocking in for unscheduled shifts, you can manually select the schedule, position, and job site from the Clock In window.
  3. Click Clock In under the Time Clock.
  4. In the Clock In window, add time entry Notes (optional).
  5. Click Clock In.
To clock out, you can follow the same steps and click Clock Out.

Taking a break

After clocking in, from the dashboard. If your organization has set up breaks in Zoho Shifts, the option to take a break will appear. 
  1. Click Take Break to begin your break.
  2. Select a break type from the Choose Break window.
  3. Click Start Break.
