Drop a shift
Before you start
- Your administrator must allow dropping shifts in your organization.
- Depending on the organization’s settings, drop requests may require approval from your manager.
- You will remain responsible for your assigned shift until your drop request is approved.
- You can enable Shift swap/offer/drop requests notification under my profile.
To drop a shift
Open the Zoho Shifts app.
Tap Schedule at the bottom of the Home page.
Choose the shift you want to drop from My Schedule.
Tap Drop.
Enter a reason for the drop (optional).
Tap Send.
Navigate to Schedule > My Schedule.
Click the assigned shift you want to drop.
In the Shift Detail window, click Drop.
Enter a reason for the drop (optional).
Click Send Request.
What happens next
- If manager approval is disabled, the shift becomes an open shift instantly.
- If manager approval is enabled, your manager can approve or deny the request.
- If approved, the shift becomes an open shift.
- If denied, you'll remain responsible for the shift.
