Send an offer request

Send an offer request

Offer in Zoho Shifts allows you to give up your scheduled shift when you’re unavailable to work. You can offer your shift to specific coworkers so they can pick it up and work on days when they are unassigned.

Before you start

  1. Your administrator must enable shift offerings in your organization.
  2. You'll be able to offer shifts to employees with the same schedule and position.
  3. Depending on the organization’s settings, offer requests may require approval from your manager.
  4. You remain responsible for your assigned shift until your offer request is accepted/approved.
  5. You can enable Shift swap/offer/drop requests notification under my profile.

 What happens next

The selected employees receive a notification of your request and can either accept or decline it. If an employee accepts, what happens next depends on your organization’s approval settings:
  1. If manager approval is disabled, the shift is assigned to the employee instantly.
  2. If manager approval is enabled, your manager can approve or deny the request.
    1. If approved, the shift is assigned to the employee who accepted it.
    2. If denied, you'll remain responsible for the shift and must work for your assigned shift.
