Set up pay rules
You can configure multiple pay rules for night, holiday, and weekend shifts to ensure employees are fairly compensated for additional or special working hours. In Zoho Shifts, pay rules let you define overtime rates, double-time rates, and shift differentials for accurate payroll calculations. These pay rules can then be assigned to employee profiles so the correct wage rates are automatically applied during payroll calculation.
Before you start
To set up pay rules, you’ll need the Administrator access level or the Manage payroll settings permission enabled.
To create new pay rule for your organization:
- Navigate to the Settings menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Pay Rules under the Time & Attendance section.
- Click the + Add Pay Rule button at the top-right corner.
- Enter the pay rule name.
- Click the Save button.
You will be taken to configure overtime and shift differential. Check how you can configure overtime rate and shift differentials for pay rules. You can have multiple pay rules which can be assigned to employees at different roles based on your organization payroll schedules.
