Add job sites in Zoho Shifts to schedule shifts at multiple locations away from your main business location, such as clients' sites.
How job sites work
A job site is a physical location where employees perform their work. When a job site is associated with a shift, employees are expected to report to the scheduled location.
For example, if you have clients all over the city and want to schedule different employees to different locations. Using job sites you can schedule shifts for employees whenever the client needs.
When a shift is scheduled with a job site, geofencing rules apply based on the job site’s set radius.
Before you start
To manage job sites for your organization, you’ll need the Administrator access level or the Add, edit schedules permission enabled.
To create a job site
- Navigate to the Settings menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Job Sites under Organization.
- Select +Add Job Site.
- Enter the job site Name.
- Enter the schedule Address by typing it or dropping a pin on the map. If geofencing is enabled in Time Clock settings, ensure the entered address is precise. An incorrect address may prevent employees from clocking in or out.
- Enable the organization's geofencing override to set a job-site-specific geofencing rule. Specify the radius (in meters) within which employees can clock in and out for this schedule.
- Enter Notes about the job site.
- Select All Schedules or Specific Schedules to assign the job site.
- If you have chosen Specific Schedules, select Schedules to assign to the job site.
- Click Save Job Site.
To import job sites
To add or update job sites in bulk, use the Import Job Sites option. It helps you avoid hours of manual data entry by uploading everything at once. You can import job sites using either a CSV or XLSX file.
Go to Settings > Job Sites, click More, then choose Import. Upload your file and complete the import.
To delete job sites
Deleting a job site removes it from the organization's job site list, and no new shifts can be created using the deleted job site. However, for both published and unpublished shifts already created using the deleted job sites, the job site will be marked as deleted for those shifts, but employees can still work on them.
