When employees are unable to clock in/out for some reason but still work for the shift, managers can clock on behalf of the employees from the Who's working card in the web dashboard.
Before you start
- To add time entry for other employee, you must have admin access or access level permission to Add, edit other employees's timesheets.
- Managers can validate and update the proper clock in/out time and then add clock in/out entry for the employee.
- This works only on the web app dashboard.
Steps for managers to clock in for an employee:
- Log in to the web app from the manager's account on your web browser.
- Click Dashboard menu at the top.
- Navigate to the Working Status Widget section on the right.
- Click the No Show link.
- You can find the employee who are not clocked in for the scheduled shift.
- Click Clock In link beside the employee whom you want to clock in for.
- Update the In Time in the Clock In popup.
- Add Notes if you want to add relevant information for clocking in and out.
- Click the Clock In button
Steps for managers to clock out for an employee:
- Log in to the web app from the manager's account on your web browser.
- Click Dashboard menu at the top.
- Navigate to the Working Status Widget section on the right.
- Click the Who's Working link.
- You can find the employee who are currently working.
- Click Clock Out link beside the employee whom you want to clock out for.
- Update the Out Time in the Clock Out popup.
- Add Notes if you want to add relevant information for clocking in and out.
- Click the Clock Out button
