Before you start 

1. To set up the missed clocking notifications, you must have admin access or access level permission to configure settings in your Zoho Shifts account.
   
2. Notification type (push or email notification) can be configured under Profile > Notification settings.
   
3. You can set reminders for employees to clock and send alerts to managers on missed clockings.
   

Missed clocking notifications for employees 

To set up missed clock-in reminders for employees: 

1. Navigate to Settings -> Time & Attendance -> Time Clock -> Missed Clock In/Out Notifications.
   
2. Use the toggle beside Remind employees to clock in after shift start time to enable or disable the setting.
   
3. Enter the minutes after which the reminder needs to be sent to employees.
   
4. Click the Save button at the bottom
   

For example, if the clock in reminder notification is set to 15 minutes, an employee scheduled to take shift at 8:00am will receive the notification if they failed to clock in until 8:15am.

To set up missed clock-out reminders for employees: 

1. Navigate to Settings -> Time & Attendance -> Time Clock -> Missed Clock In/Out Notifications.
   
2. Use the toggle beside Remind employees to clock out after shift end time to enable or disable the setting.
   
3. Enter the minutes after which the reminder needs to be sent to employees.
   
4. Click the Save button at the bottom
   

For example, if the clock out reminder notification is set to 15 minutes, an employee scheduled to the end shift by 4:00 pm will receive the notification if they missed to clock out until 4:15 pm.

Missed clocking alerts for managers 

To set up missed clock-in alerts for managers: 

1. Navigate to Settings -> Time & Attendance -> Time Clock -> Missed Clock In/Out Notifications.
   
2. Use the toggle beside Alert managers after shift start time to enable or disable the setting.
   
3. Enter the minutes after which the alert needs to be sent to managers.
   
4. Click the Save button at the bottom
   

For example, if the clock in manger alert notification is set to 30 minutes and an employee missed to clock to scheduled shift at 8:00am, manager will receive the notification if the employee misses to clock in until 8:30am.

To set up missed clock-out alerts for managers: 

1. Navigate to Settings -> Time & Attendance -> Time Clock -> Missed Clock In/Out Notifications.
   
2. Use the toggle beside Alert managers after shift end time to enable or disable the setting.
   
3. Enter the minutes after which the alert needs to be sent to manager.
   
4. Click the Save button at the bottom
   

For example, if the clock in manager alert notification is set to 20 minutes and an employee is scheduled to the end shift by 4:00 pm, the manager will receive a notification if the employee doesn't clock out until 4:20 pm.
