Format a table

After adding a table to your slide, you can customize it using the various formatting options available. With the Show app for Android, you can change the table presets, merge or split cells, and add a color or a border to the tables to highlight relevant information.

Tap on the table and tap the Format option in the bottom pane. You will have the following options: Table, Text, and Arrange.


Format Table 

  1. Tap the TABLE tab.
Table formatting options include:

Change table presets

Tap More and tap to select the table presets from the various options available.


ADD ROW/ COLUMN

  1. Tap on a cell and tap  and  to add rows above and below the selected cell.
  2. Tap on a cell and tap  and  to add columns to the right and left of the selected cell.

HEADER & FOOTER
  1. Tap  and  to add a horizontal header and footer respectively.

  2. Tap the  and the  to add a vertical header and footer respectively.

ALTERNATE

Shade alternate rows and columns to differentiate rows or columns to read your data better. This also helps when you have to compare and distinguish data row-wise or column-wise.
  1.   Tap Row to shade alternate rows.
  2.  Tap Column to shade alternate rows.

MERGE & SPLIT
  1. Tap on a cell and use the pointers to select the required option.
  2. Tap MERGE CELLS to combine the cells, rows, or columns of the table.
  3. Tap SPLIT CELLS to separate the cells, rows, or columns of the table.

Fill

Tap Fill.

Tap the dropdown to select one of the following:

None

Removes all the applied fill effects.

Solid Color 
  1. Tap any color to apply.
  2. Tap More Colors to customize the color or insert a color code and tap Apply.
  3. Use the Transparency slider to adjust the transparency of the selected color.

Gradient Colors
  1. Tap on a preferred gradient style: Linear, Radial, or Angular.
  2. Tap to select your preferred color.
  3. Tap Options.
 Gradient Options
  1. Tap + and - next to Gradient Stops to add gradient stops.
  2. Tap Change Colors to pick a color for the gradient.
  3. Tap More Colors to customize a color of your choice and tap Apply.
  4. Use the Transparency slider to adjust the color transparency.

 Angle

Use the slider to set an angle for the gradient.

Picture
  1. Scroll to tap and select from the available pictures.
  2. Tap Change Picture to select a new image from media.
  3. Use the Transparency slider to adjust the transparency of the picture.
  4. Check the Tile box if you want the picture used as a fill to be tiled. When deselected, this checkbox ensures that your selected picture is used as a picture fill and stretches throughout the slide.
  5. Tap Offset to align the picture within the table.
  6. Use the up and down arrows next to the Frame Offset to align the picture left, top, right, or bottom.

Pattern
  1. Tap Presets to choose your preferred pattern.
  2. Tap Foreground Color to select a color for the pattern or tap More Colors to select an appropriate color.
  3. Tap Background Color to select a color or tap More Colors to customize your color.
  4. Use the Scale slider to scale the pattern accordingly.
  5. Use the Rotate slider to set a degree for the selected pattern.

Stroke
  1. Toggle the Stroke button on.
  2. Tap Style to select a border style.
  3. Tap Stroke Color to select a color for the border or tap More Colors to customize your color. Use the Transparency slider to set the transparency for the color.
  4. Use the up and down arrows next to Width of the selected border.
  5. Tap the options next to Stroke Line Join to sharpen or soften the borders of the table.
  6. Tap the options next to Stroke Line Cap to define the end cap of the border.

Arrange

ALIGN

Tap the following options to align the table within the slide:

To align horizontally

  1.   Aligns the table to the left of the slide.
  2.   Aligns the table to the center of the slide.
  3.   Aligns the table to the right of the slide.

To align vertically
  1. Aligns the table to the top of the slide.
  2. Aligns the table to the middle of the slide.
  3. Aligns the table to the bottom of the slide.
Rearrange the table

You can rearrange the table in the slide in four directions 

  1. Moves the table one position in front of an object in the slide.
  2. Moves the table in front of all the other objects in the slide.
  3. Moves the table behind the other objects in the slide.
  4. Moves the table one position behind an object in the slide.

Size and Position
  1. Tap Size & Position.
  2. Scroll down to POSITION.
  3. Use the up and down arrows next to Horizontal and Vertical to move the table to the required position within the slide.

You can also tap on the table and drag it to place it to the desired position within the slide.
