Enhance the visual appeal of an object added to your slide by customizing it with a solid color, gradient, picture, or pattern fill.
Solid color: Single, uniform colors that cover the entire background or the selected slide element.
Gradient: Transitions between two or more colors that can be applied to the slide background or the selected slide element.
Picture: Add a picture from the options available or add an image from the media to the slide or the selected slide element.
Pattern: Repeated designs that can range from dots, lines, or shapes that can cover the entire background or the selected slide element.
Applying stroke to the below slide elements is not supported
- Lines and Connectors
- Images
- Smart Elements
- Silhouettes (only solid colors are supported)
- Audio
- Videos
- Tap on the required slide element: text, shape, table, image, video or chart.
- Tap Format.
- Scroll down and tap Fill.
Apply solid fill
Solid colors are classified into
Theme colors: A predefined set of colors that are part of the selected theme or template.
Standard colors: A set of basic, universally recognized colors.
Custom colors: Let you create a color that is not part of the theme or the standard colors.
- Tap .
- Tap to choose a color from THEME COLORS or STANDARD COLORS.
- Tap More Colors to customize the color and tap Apply.
- Use the Transparency slider to adjust the transparency of the selected color.
Apply gradient fill
There are three types of gradients
Linear: Involves a smooth transition between colors along a straight line- horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
Radial: Involves a smooth transition between colors from a central point outward- circular or elliptical.
Angular: Involves a smooth transition between colors radiating out from a center point like a wheel.
- Tap .
- Tap a preferred gradient style: Linear, Radial, or Angular.
- Tap the preferred color and choose Light or Dark variations.
- Tap More Options.
Gradient Options
- Tap + and - next to Stops to add and delete gradient stops.
By default, the first gradient stop will be selected.
- To select a stop color:
- Tap Change Color and choose between THEME COLORS or STANDARD COLORS.
- Tap More Colors to customize a preferred color and tap Apply.
- Use the Transparency slider to adjust the transparency of the selected color.
- Slide the Angle slider to determine in which direction the gradient should start.

Apply pattern fill
- Tap .
- Tap to select from the available presets, then tap More to view the other options.
- To set a foreground color for the pattern:
- Tap Foreground Color to select a from the Theme Colors or Standard Colors.
- Tap More Colors to choose a custom color and tap Apply.
- Use the Transparency Slider to adjust the opacity of the color.
- To set a background color for the pattern:
- Tap Background Color to select a from the Theme Colors or Standard Colors.
- Tap More Colors to choose a custom color and tap Apply.
- Use the Transparency Slider to adjust the opacity of the color.
- Use the Scale slider to scale the pattern accordingly.
- Use the Rotate slider to set a degree for the selected pattern.
Apply picture fill
- Tap .
- Tap + to add a new image or scroll to choose from the options available.
- Toggle the Tile Image switch to make the image used as fill to be tiled.
- To move the starting point of the tile texture within the slide, use offset and scale.
- Tap + and - next to Offset X and Offset Y to balance the alignment of the fill.
- Tap + and - next to Scale X and Scale Y to resize the fill horizontally or vertically.
- Toggle the Tile Image switch off to set a frame offset for the image.
- Use the + and - buttons next to Top, Bottom, Left, and Right to align the image.
