Use Show MCP in Claude

Use Show MCP in Claude

Find out how to start working with Zoho Show through Claude once the connector is set up. Includes example prompts, tips for getting better results, and guidance on security and privacy.

After setup, enable the Zoho Show connector in a Claude conversation, then ask Claude for help with your presentation work.

Example prompts:
  1. Create a 6-slide presentation on product launch strategy with a professional theme.
  2. Add a new slide after slide 4 with a title and three bullet points.
  3. Generate a table slide from this data and insert it at the end.
  4. Duplicate slide 2 and update the title to Q4 Results.
  5. Align all objects on slide 3 and distribute them evenly.
  6. Find my presentation called Annual Review and summarize what each slide covers.
  7. Reorder slides so the Conclusion slide comes last.
  8. Update the bullet text in slide 5 with these talking points.
  9. Apply the Minimal theme to this presentation.
  10. Create a flowchart slide for our customer onboarding process.
The assistant may ask you to clarify which presentation, slide, or object to work with if your request does not identify one clearly.
Be specific about where Claude should work.
Good: "In my Q4 Roadmap presentation, add a new slide after slide 3 with the title Timeline and these four bullet points."
Less clear: "Add a slide with the timeline."

Tell the assistant whether it should only read, or whether it can make changes.
  1. "Only read and summarize. Do not make changes."
  2. "Create a new slide with this content."
  3. "Update the existing table. Ask before deleting rows."
For important changes, ask for a plan first. Have the assistant preview its plan before it uses any write tools, so you can approve or adjust before content changes in Zoho Show.

Security and privacy when using the connector

  1. Only connect your AI assistant or MCP client to the official Zoho Show MCP server URL for your data center.
  2. Review the permissions shown during sign-in before approving access.
  3. Review tool approval requests before allowing write actions.
  4. Be careful with tools that can delete, reorder, or update presentation content.
  5. Disconnect the connector if you no longer want Claude to access Zoho Show.
