Connecting WhatsApp with Zoho Social
WhatsApp is widely used for personal and business communication, making it a familiar and convenient way for businesses to connect with their customers. By connecting your WhatsApp Business account with Zoho Social, you can manage conversations and messaging alongside your other social channels.

WhatsApp gives businesses a direct way to connect with customers where they already spend their time. From answering questions and providing support to sharing updates and reaching multiple contacts, you can manage customer communication with ease.
Capabilities of WhatsApp in Zoho Social
With WhatsApp in Zoho Social, you can:
- Manage conversations in Inbox: View and respond to WhatsApp conversations from Zoho Social's Inbox.
- Use saved replies: Quickly respond to frequently asked questions and common customer queries using saved replies.
- Send bulk messages: Reach multiple contacts at once with updates, offers, announcements, and other messages, instead of messaging them individually.
- Send template messages: Use pre-approved WhatsApp message formats for common scenarios such as order updates, appointment reminders, and promotions.

WhatsApp integration in Zoho Social is available on the Premium, Agency, and Agency Plus plans.
Prerequisites for connecting WhatsApp
Before connecting WhatsApp to Zoho Social, make sure you have the following:
- A Facebook account. Meta requires your WhatsApp Business account to be linked to a Facebook account during the connection process.
- A WhatsApp Business account. If you don't have one, you can create one during the connection process.
Connecting WhatsApp in Zoho Social
To connect WhatsApp from the Social Channels tab:
1. Go to Settings → Social Channels and click Connect next to WhatsApp.
Alternatively, click the WhatsApp icon under Add more channels in Brand Health to start the connection process.
2. Enter your Facebook account credentials and click Login.
3. Authorize Zoho Social to access your Facebook and WhatsApp Business accounts by clicking Continue as, then click Get Started.
4. Enter your business information. Select an existing business portfolio or create a new one to add your WhatsApp Business account and phone number, and click Next.
5. Click Continue and authorize Zoho Social to manage your WhatsApp account and conversations.
6. Click Finish to complete the setup.
7. Select the phone number you want to connect to Zoho Social and click Choose.
Alternatively, you can connect your WhatsApp Business account to Zoho Social through the Integrations tab. Learn more about connecting WhatsApp through Integrations.
Once connected, your WhatsApp Business profile will appear alongside your other social channels, and you can manage your WhatsApp conversations and messaging directly from Zoho Social.
